REALLY REALLY hoping someone can HELP ME get this going!

Sorry for the delay, it took forever and I also wanteed to try one other thing before posting the imgBurn log.

I have now also changed the ribbon and checked to make sure everything was hooked and set correctly with the power cable and having placed a NEW ribbon to make sure it wasn't the old one.

When I went to re-strip "Savages" again it did give me a read error again, so I knew that the burn was also going to fail. I still went ahead and did one to post the log.

I'm REALLY REALLY hoping someone can HELP ME get this going, so I can used this computer again to burn back ups.

    THANKS!!!

16x as write speed might be to fast for those discs.

Reason: Logical Unit Communication CRC Error (ULTRA-DMA/32)
Did you set the jumper back on the burner right? (Master/Slave/Cable select) And the cable is enough pressed into the slot?

Your reading errors and burn errors indicates some type of conversation problem between your computer and burner.

I reset it to 8x again sorry must have went back when I changed ribbons, but YES it still does the same thing at 8x as it does MAX. Both reading and writing errors.

"reading errors and burn errors indicates some type of conversation problem between your computer and burner."

I agree with this, but I have NO clue what it can be. I see everything as set up correctly and as you know even changed the ribbon just to check. Knowing the other one worked before with the other burner.

Now how to find out what can cause that I know is not the trouble of the "reading errors and burn errors indicates some type of conversation problem between your computer and burner." that is the million dollar question I could only wish I knew. (lol)

Thanks to any ideas that can solve this trouble.

            Got it going again!!!!

Hello again, just an UPDATE on this trouble. I went back to my buddies shop today after checking everything here you all said and it all check OK. Taking the whole system down with me this time and showing him what was happening, he tried a Sata drive to see if it would indeed work, since the IDE burner didn't and as I said before and he also tried, which was another IDE burner from his shop. (Different one) And it would do the same thing. Well once we placed the Sata DVD Drive into it, we ran a full RIP and COPY test and it worked GREAT AGAIN.

This to him determined that the IDE Drives on the system become cortrupt somehow. Which is somewhat of what I was trying to say, but didn't know how to or even why it could or would happen. (That it had to be something in the settings that changed.) The only way HE SAID to fix this was to either reinstall windows FRESH, or maybe the motherboard disc.

Either way, using the Sata Drive ports, I got around this MIND BENDING issue and have it up and going again.

THANKS to everyone that tried to help with this. I really do THANK YOU ALL!!
