Thanks but I'm referring to DVD as opposed to blu ray.
The particular DVD is not the issue.
Also 9119 will decrpt from a folder super fast, but it limits optical drive speed. As signals suggested, changing I/O setting & read ahead cache improved ver 9119 a lot, but it is still slower than ver 8230..

I am having the exact same problem. I ripped a DVD in DVDFAB 8, and it ripped @ an average of 59 fps. I tried to rip the same exact disc in Ver 9.119, and it started @ 70 FPS, and rapidly dropped to zero. As the speed went down the time left climbed until it crashed and red all zeros also. I tried a brand new disc, (Red 2) and it did the same thing. I cannot get Red 2 to rip in Ver 8. There is no internal log with todays date.

With ver. 8 you need the latest ver. 8230 for RED 2.

I have tried the speed issue. 9122 vs 8229.
          source: MARVELS_THE_AVENGERS DVD
copy full disc to dvd 5 with IQS:
          V9122 takes 00:09:38 ,
          V8 need 00:54.33.
          v9 more faster than V8.
          I can not reproduce.

          For Windows: C:\Users\User Name\Documents\DVDFab10\Log
          For Mac: Finder> Documents> DVDFab10> Log

          DVDFab Player 5:
          For Windows:C:\Users\User Name\Documents\DVDFab Player 5\Log

I'm sorry, I wish you could see the problem.

I believe I have found my slow decrypt problem- there is a conflict with 9.1.1.9 and 9.1.2.2 with my old school computer (XP Pro) that causes the decrypt function to work very slowly. The issue seems to be video related- if I run the program minimized, hidden with just the DVD Fab icon in the system tray, it uses less than 12% of the processor and runs at a good speed (decrypt time for 7.5gb is easily under 20 minutes), but if I maximize the program to full screen, processor use jumps to 90+% and the dvd drive slows down, the rate shown drops and you can even hear it slow down. If I minimize it again, the processor load instantly drops to under 12% and the drive starts speeding up!
This does not happen with any version 8 or with 9.0.6.3.

In "Common Settings", under General, the "A/V Codec" window, under "codec information" shows

              Graphics Chipset :
              Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller

              Supported Video Codecs :

              CoreAVC : cannot be detected.

Yep, it's a dog of a computer, but it likes version 8.2.3.0. !

I've been intrigued by this thread because I just can't reproduce it and I believe the guys who are having the issue. So I plugged up my graphics card, a Radeon HD 7700, no help at all, and set everything to software. I copied The Two Towers full disk to DVD5 a lot of compression, to 58%. I was surprised to find 8.2.3.0 took almost twice as long. 9.1.2.2 put a much greater demand on the CPU and my Ivy Bridge 3370K was up to the task but the processor was overclocked to the max all the way. It achieved around 15 MB/s and finished in 10 minutes. In 8.2.3.0 the processor coasted but never achieved more than 6 MB/s.

My conclusion is that a computer with a slower CPU and no GPU help DVDFab version 9 will likely be very slow! And 8.2.3.0 will not be much of a change.
How to post the internal log
