Ripped DVDs skipping and freezing

Thanks for the information on my burner drive. I'm not sure if I want to take a chance and possibly "destroy" the drive

I did play the discs on my computer as well as my DVD player and the problem did happen on both of them.

are the ones that you burned at 4x still skipping & freezing??

I haven't had the opportunity to watch the discs all the way through that were burned at 4X with ImgBurn. I did play them on my computer at various points in all of the chapters and there didn't seem to be any problems like I was having when they were ripped with the VSO burning engine at 8X.

I have now watched a couple of the dvds that were burned at 4x and they played without any freezing or skipping Thank you.
