    major problem...

    Hi to everybody!

I just purchased dvdfab (dvd2dvd) and can not backup anything. I tested dvdfab with different discs even with ripped where there is no protection. And the problem is that software closes itself when I start to copy the dvd . I can open it, set all I want ie I can simply create target folder but once the start button is pressed then dvdfab closes itself. Can enybody help and tell me what am i doing wrong? There is no crash logs, I switched off the viewer, there is no GPU acceleration, everything seems to be ok.

    Thanks in advance.

Download ProcDump, start DVDFab, start ProcDump with parameter "-t DVDFab.exe".

This command-line utility is aimed at capturing process dumps of otherwise difficult to isolate and reproduce CPU spikes.

Now do as previous to get a crash and then you should have a crash dump file next to ProcDump which you upload please.

I also hope you are using latest Beta version.

I did as you recommended but there is no crash dump file. I hope it runs because it pops-up with the waiting text screen but there is no output file after DVDfab crashes. I also noticed that there are new folders which consists of vob short files with few starting seconds of the movies. And I use latest beta version

The crash dump file is in the same folder as ProcDump.
The file has the extension .dmp.
Extract Procdump to desktop, then Start -> Run -> cmd -> cd desktop -> Procdump -t DVDFab.exe
Then let DVDFab crash and you should have a dmp file at Desktop.

You may also test it with "FabCore.exe" instead of "DVDFab.exe".

Now I've got it... How can I send it to you? It is rather heavy.

Upload it to a filehoster like megaupload or rapidshare and post the link here.

It seems you haven't heard something of packing yet.

                EXCEPTION_RECORD: ffffffff -- (.exr 0xffffffffffffffff)
                ExceptionAddress: 00000000

                ExceptionFlags: 00000000
                NumberParameters: 0

It is packed about 4,4 MB.

This file helps fengtao to fix the crash.

You do have full permissions on destination path?

All operating system know days have system which control permission for access. If you are only user you will likely to have admin permissions. This is in general rule of thumb.
If you fail to plan...you plan to fail wouldn't you not agree..Think about it
