I have been reading the post of having trouble with New Moon, I have the reg version, I did have a problem with V6, after downloading the V7 Beta ver. It cut through it like butter, I never change my pathplayer at all, I clean my new disk, shoot it to my HD and then use Imburn for the finished disk, and and I can say without a doubt that when a new disk comes out that has a new CG, the great staff gets the new updates out in a timely fashion they are just great! the disk is a R1 and I rarely have a problem with the updates or program I wonder Why? sorry!!

The last Official release for DVDFab was

The rest of the releases are BETA versions and tend to have a bug or two that needs fixing before the next official release is released

Something seriously wrong with 7.0.2.5 -- and it's not just peoples' drives. Whether Pathplayer is enabled, not enabled, or only when needed, whether I switch DVD drives for the source -- after "reading" the disc, it is *not* displaying the "Source", but still saying "Please insert DVD disc" and then under "Common Settings" - "Info" that it recognizes the disc and gives the name of it and source drive (whichever drive I choose), and it says "Disc is *not* open." So, unless DVDFab "opens" the disc (USA, Region 1) (various drives). So, 1-Why is 7.0.2.5 not opening the disc, and 2-How can we get it to open it? (Not just New Moon, either.)

I downloaded the 7.0.2.5. Beta paid version. It opened up the disc fine but selected the wrong title. I manually selected track 1 which is the right length of the movie (2 Hrs, 10 mins). It copied to the hard drive without any difficulty and looks good playing back via VLC Player.

When trying to back up new moon First put the movie in your DVD player or soft player and as the movie is playing notice the Title that the movie is playing, after that make sure that Fab is selecting the right Title during the copy process, hope this helps.

    Ditto

Same thing happened to me on main movie. Quality was down to 58% on full disc.

I did notice however, that when backing up this movie using the "Main Movie" option, the first 11 minutes were not included in my DVDFab backup copy. When using the "Full Disc" option on a DL DVD, that first 11 minutes were present. I did not try performing a "Full Disc" backup using a DVD5 DVD so I cannot speak to that.

I did notice that on the main DVD, there were 2 title(Angle) choices after the analysis process completed. There was 12 (1:56.04) and 1 (2:10:33). DVDFab selected 12. I made 2 backups using both of these angles and with a quick view (@32x) I didn't see and differences in what data was captured. I hope this helps.

I tried New Moon yesterday on 7.0.2.5 movie only. It backed up successfully but upon reviewing the burn it starts the movie about 20 minutes in. I am going to attempt a full disc copy today.

Do not need to tell members/users to revert to an old version when the new version being used in this thread is able to back up New Moon
