That did it, thanks a lot..........

Excuse my ignorance about this, but it is best to always have the pathplayer enabled yes?

Just disable it in cases like this?

Also my only other ''problem'' I was having is for a long time now the preview never worked at all, however it worked this time, surely it is NOT normal for the pathplayer to prevent the preview from working is it?

Yes, I would select always as the default setting and alter this as needed.
(It's perfectly ok to do the opposite and disable PP and change as needed, but the former setting is preferable ...JMO).

That's correct. PP should not prevent the preview from working.
For at least several versions of Fab 6.x, there were significant preview glitches. (Sorry, I don't recall exactly which versions).
With new uppdates, user preview settings were not retained. For eg., the decoder setting was being changed from direct to internal for many users and this resulted in inconsistent performance or none at all...

Glad to hear you're up and running smoothly...

If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

        Thank you..............

Yes as I said I am very happy with your software, just this dvd was the first one for a long time I couldn't copy, but all okay now.

If only the preview would work I would be even happier, when it works I am then confident all is okay, but at present with it not working I am always concerned if all is okay or not until I watch the copy on a dvd player.

          HI

I am new to DVDFab and cannot copy xmen origin wolverine.
I disabled the pathplayer then closed and reopened dvdfab and it still would not find the source.
I tried burning main movie and full disc also.

It is a region 4 brand new dvd. it says dvd 9:dual layer single sided disc, does that have anything to do with not being able to burn it?

What version of Fab are you using?

Also today windows keeps finding a problem and closes the program when I open dvdfab with the disc in the computer already. This is the first time its happened, i have been trying to copy it for 2 days.

Please upgrade to 6.1.2.5. 6.0.4.0 is way out of date. Install as "Administrator".

So many different ways of doing things, I didn't realise how many until I joined the forums recently.

I have always started DVDFab first, then select what I want as in main movie or full disc, and then insert the disc to be copied.

Another thing I was doing wrong until I joined the forums, I used to have to go through my computer after I had copied DVDs and delete all the files. Now I realise it was because each time I finished one I would just click DVDFab to close, NOT click on finish first.

Incidentally, and to stay on topic, that DVD should copy okay now if you do as advised by GregiBoy.

                      Guys,

New member here and a new registered user of DVDFab. I have read and done all the tricks posted by others here about how to get the second disc of Wolverines Origins to copy to my hard drive, DVDFab still cannot read it. I have disabled PP and it didn't fix it. I was able to copy the first disc which is the movie and two other movies and their special edition disc as well with no issues. Just having issues with this one disc. The DVD is region 1, and my logs are posted below. As I write this I am backing up Crank 2 with no issues as well. The DVDs are scratch free and new. Any help is appreciated.

                          bean555,

I learned something new today with these DVDs. Will just copy it with IMGBurn if I feel the need to make a copy for backup, thanks for the assistance today.
