I will take the suggestion from you and others to keep the installer for previous versions handy. I will also go through VSO Inspector again, properly this time, and see what it says. I presume that the intent of the quoted line "VSO Inspector, when run by [itself], will not analyze a decrypted disc accurately" was intended to say "will not analyze an encrypted disc accurately"...?

I should have said so, but I did clean the disc, and I did read through the "Tips on Troubleshooting ... " in your sig line. I didn't see much that seemed applicable, but perhaps I should do it again, more carefully.

You got it Billy and thanks for the correction...twice now as it is obvious that I repeated my error.
I should learn not to do this while at work, especially at my age.
