I've tried all three settings on path player with no luck. Here are my last three entries on the Internal Log:

Could something tied to the VSO engine be the problem? I only ask because 7 will no longer complete a back-up using the VSO , and this only started after installing v8. 7 will now complete a back-up using ImgBurn (thanks to you CBR929 for the suggestion). Even after uninstalling v8 VSO still craps out on all versions (I've been using v6 on the other machine since I uninstalled v7 and v8 on that one).
Another question is the prefetch ability crucial to v8?
