Thanks, this tip works great and no more error message!
DVDfab has been a great tool when it comes to backing up the collection.

The 30 day trial has all the same features as the paid version. Have you tried watching the original DVD in your DVD player to see if you get same problem with it? Also try lowering the burn speed to 4x and not burn at max speed as that could be what is wrong. Use only Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden blank media for best results as well

I'm getting the exact same behavior. Hopefully it will be fixed in a future build without having do anything tricky.... they work pretty hard at ironing out issues like this.

chief I just ripped UP with Full disk/pathplayer enabled like suggested above and its all fine no problems and all is well i think the trial version is for showing you it works in general but not on all i am not saying this is a fact but my opinion so if you are haveing problems with the trial version then just buy it i mean come on are you that broke. once again paid version here and never any problems!! and i have 6.2.0.5

The trial is fully functional for 30 days. The problem people are having with "UP" could be a bad original disc and/or Fab's configuration settings. As many others have said before Pathplayer must be enabled with that title.
            btw welcome to the forum

I just got through backing up my dvd copy of UP which is the 4 disc version which includes the blu-ray,dvd, digital copy and blu-ray special features. With pathfinder set to always enabled backed up entire disc just fine main movie was title 31. I did find a bug when ever you use the same folder as your source does not show the correct size and all the titles are the wrong length as far as time does not see title 31. Need Signals, Gregiboy, and Wild and Blue to try so they can see what I'm talking about. This needs to be reported to Fengtao so it can be fixed in the release.

The new Beta 6.2.1.5 will copy this movie.

I read the thread and tried several times without any success. DVDFab (6.2.1.8 Released on Dec/31/2009 is the last version I tired) still says the writing failed (I think if I ever do it again I would ignore the error and continue buring) so I stopped there. However I found that Shrink can pick the dir that DVDFab created on "My Documents -> DVDFab ->Temp->FullDisc->...") and play it correctly within Shrink. But when I "Backup" the Disc does not play with the correct sequence. Then I read Shrink manuals and us "Reauthor" button to open the folder DVDFab created and see that only title 50 has the main movie. I dragged it to the left side of the sceen and "Backup" and that did it!
                      Have fun!

I was finally able to get DVDfab 6.2.1.8 to see UP with Pathplaer enabled. Unfortunately, after 3 1/2 hours after the "Analyzing of DVD started" I got the error of "Task_1 failed! Error=401" then "Process Failed!" Does anyone have any ideas?

                            Closed captions

Apparently they are discriminating against the hearing impaired as that disc also does not contain close captions or any sub titles what so ever. This is a sad sad thing for kids who may be hearing impaired and familys can't afford to purchase a disc and merely wanted to rent it to watch.
I spent better part of a day trying to copy and by following the advice of several posters, was finally able to burn a working copy using ver 6.1.1.0. Disabling pathplayer and selecting "Ignore all read errors" was the key for me. When I first played the original disk, it was displayed as Title 31 so that was what I copied.

When I viewed the copy, it displayed the closed captions which I had to turn off. So.... the disk does contain closed captions or, at least, mine did. In fact, I was a bit concerned that I could not turn them off as they can be a distraction and was glad when I found the setting on my DVD player to turn them off.

I did not watch the copy in real time but instead fast forwarded through it and it appeared to be okay.

So thanks to all of you posters for enabling me to accomplish this without a substantial quantity of hair loss.

DVDFab v6.2.1.8 (unregistered version) no longer works (with or without PathPlayer) for the Disney Pixar DVD "Up" (2009). With PathPlayer, the message "To open this DVD disc, you need buy or renew DVDFab 'DVD to DVD', or you can wait for new version of DVDFab HD Decrypter" is displayed. Without PathPlayer, the disc size reported is incorrectly reported as 70.491GB, and as one would expect attempting to run it malfunctions with Transfer Rate not displayed, Task Time Left always 00:00:00, and after a lengthy time the message "Process Failed!" is displayed.

DVDFab v6.2.0.5 works correctly when the Source is the DVD disc and the Target is a hard disk folder. However, running DVDFab v6.2.0.5 subsequently with the Source being that previous resulting Target hard disk folder, results in the message "To open this DVD disc, you need buy or renew DVDFab 'DVD to DVD', or you can wait for new version of DVDFab HD Decrypter" is displayed.

Log files from each version are attached (with some consolidated lines for brevity):
