    Hi Rubber - Duck,
In my case, it's ok. So I'm wondering whether you click the red "X" on the right top or "OK" button on the right buttom of Conversion Settings page after you changing the parameter and clicking "Set as default"?
    1.Clicking "OK" means saving the change;
    2.Clicking "X" means cancel;
    Wish it helps.

I tried what you said just to make sure and the same still happens.

These are the settings I tried to use on a generic.avi.divx.mp3 profile:

      Before Save
      • 2 Pass
      • 3200 Fixed Video Bitrate
      • Deinterlace On
      • 320kbps mp3 audio
      • 720x400 Resolution

But after I save it I get:
      • 1 Pass
      • 3162 Fixed Video Bitrate
      • Deinterlace Off
      • 320kbps mp3 audio
      • 712x400 Resolution

I have attached screenshots so you can see what I mean.

      Hope this helps

        Hi Rubber - Duck,
It's OK with build 8108 QT beta here. You'd better uninstall -> clean your PC -> reboot -> install and try it again.
        Wish you seccess.

I did a full uninstall, removed all profiles from pc (appdata and program files) ran ccleaner, reboot and full reinstall and got the same results.

v8108 keeps changing some of my settings.

          I don't have this issue if I use v8092.

I don't know what else I can do?

          Please see screenshots attached.

I checked the latest 8.1.0.8 beta and m2ts.passthrough cannot be saved as a default still. I did download the profile editor and will do some testing. Maybe I can copy the m2ts.passthrough profile, give it another name and then make that the default.

v8110QT Beta - not saving all settings to default

v8110QT Beta is still not saving all settings when saving as default.

The settings that keep changing for me are:

              - frame resolution
              - fixed video bitrate

I am trying to use the generic.avi.divx.mp3 profile to save my settings.

I just installed v8112QT and the issue is still there, but now its not saving 4 settings:
                  1. Video Fixed Bitrate
                  2. 2 Pass
                  3. Deinterlace
                  4. Frame Resolution

Was this meant to be addressed in this version or is that work still underway?

It's strange how v8110 was not saving 2 settings (resolution & bitrate) but now v8112 is not saving 4 settings.

Is there a timetable for this fix? (Sorry, haven't been around)... still using 8.0.5.0 as a work around.

                      Hi boys,
Please try the lastest build 8117 QT beta .
In my test, both 2 pass and Deinterlacing can be saved as default. As different source/device/profile have different frame resolution/Fixed bitrate, it needs more time for fixing.

                            Hi,
The workaround I have found to work is to install 8.0.8.5, save your default from there, then move it from its location and pass it through Profile Editor 8 'Upgrade old profile to new', then use that as your profile. a pain, but it works

                            Cheers

                              Hello,
Is this issue finally fixed in the latest beta (8.1.2.9 Qt Beta)?
