Glad you got it going. I keep both versions installed for the same reason.

      Converting .m2ts to ipod

I have ran into similar problems trying to convert "Rise Planets of The Apes" (reg. B sweden) new movie.
      See post.

I have seen somestrange things happen after a recent Windows update not sure if this is the cause though? i will try to use 8085 and 8172 to see if this works...
Last edited by squitzad; 04-01-2012, 10:05 AM. Reason: newer release (8172) is out.

        Similar Problem

        Gents,

I just purchased the full version of BR Ripper and now it won't work. Same issue everyone is having, it starts but it never makes any progress. I thought downloading 8085 might help, but when I go through the process it says I need to update my software.

        Suggestions?

          Hi ajd80
The newer versions of Fab are required for the newer copyright encryption on the newer movies.

            Hangs

I've been trying to rip some older movies - a recent DVD release of Casablanca, some older Steve McQueen movies, and some brand-new TV releases such as Eureka and Game of Thrones. So for me, there's not any really consistency based upon whether the DVD is new or old. This only started happening recently.

All are being ripped to AppleTV

            Log is attached.

Thanks for the heads up... So here are two logs files from a BR ripping session I had to stop because it just sits there.

                Hi ajd80
Open Fab click the Click the Green at top right corner of the DVD Fab screen, and open Common Settings > General >A/V Codec, put a check in Disable all GPU codes and make sure they are set to Software, restart Fab and try again.

If you also have purchased BD Copy.

First save it to your HDD as BD50 "Main Movie" using BD Copy without compression.
Then open the hard drive folder and use the folder on your HDD to do your converting.
Doing it this way saves wear and tear on your optical drive and is also faster.

                  Problem is with cuda programming

I have purchased DVD ripper and experienced the problems outlined in this thread. The only way to rip DVDs reliably without having them 'hang' during the rip is to disable hardware acceleration.

As a programmer myself, it seems that the developers at DVDfab should be able to fix this, and release a version that works with or without hardware acceleration enabled.

Could this please be looked into.

                  Thanks

I've also confirmed it, but it's not movie specific.
I dropped back to DVDFab8163Qt, and it processed normally.
Nothing in the log... Just the start up messages.

Still can't use dvd ripper to iPad (any Mp4 format) nor BD ripper

When I try to use DVD or BD ripper to convert to any mp4 it stalls.

I am having the same issues discussed in this thread. In the middle of a DVD rip, it will "pause", and hang there indefinitely with the percentage complete remaining the same. It does not happen on all movies. I'm running 8.2.0.0. My most recent case was with the movie "Friends with Kids". This time I decided to install 8.0.8.5 and try it. It completed no problem. I've only experienced this problem with the last 2 builds. Any thoughts?

                          Sort of solved

I am using 9.0.6.3 and I had this problem so I let DVDFab sit there for about 2 hours in this state and it finally started moving forward.

Maybe there is a disk seek time problem.

                            Hi billegge
You have posted in a year old thread.
Version 9 is totally different than version 8.
