Hi There,
Just started trialling DVD Ripper. I want to use it to convert my DVD's to MKV for playing in Windows Media Center (7).
I already have a large number of MKV's, mostly high res anime. They all play fine in WMC.
I loaded up a test DVD. I thought I would go with MKV remux as that would give me the best quality. I disabled splitting and left pretty much everything else default.
The file finished and I was able to play in MPC (media player classic) and also Windows Media Player, but for some reason it will not play in Windows Media Center. I don't get an error or anything. It loads the video, but just sits there at a black screen. If I bring up the controls it shows the video sat at 00:00:00 but interestingly shows the correct movie length. Fast forwarding does nothing.
I am currently ripping it again but using H264 and audiocopy.. it'll be a while before I can test it as it's still encoding. The trouble is though that I want the best quality available.
Any pointers please?
