Dexter DVD Issues.. (I see others have problem too)

Please be a little more specific with your responses. Which operation failed? You were going to rip to the hard drive and then make the Zune file. Which of these failed?

honestly I am not sure.. it goes up to like 98% then fails.. and when I pull the log thats what it gives me..

Were you using DVD to DVD or DVD to Mobile?

Since you are not having this problem with other disks let's make sure that there are no errors on it. Download Nero CD/DVD Speed from here: http://www.free-codecs.com/Nero_DVD_Speed_download.htm
It's the last free version I know of. When installed SCAN the disk. This will take a while and if any of the little squares are red we have a bad disk. If when complete all are green then ??

so I am supposed to select DVD to DVD, and use Main Movie right? When it copies the VTS/VOB files to the hd does it stay encrypted?

yeah it keeps doing the same thing. it gets almost to the very end then it just says "Process Failed"

also should I have "check for multiple set of BOVs" checked or unchecked?

Did you scan the disk with Nero CD/DVD Speed?

I wasn't able to download it.. I played it and it works fine no skips at all..

This is the error code i get I am getting ready to run the NERO to see if there are any problems with the disc.

Are you selecting DVD9? The error is a transcode error and there should be no transcoding going on if you are not compressing it.

Saying “Transcode Error” is vague is an understatement! There are a multitude of reasons for that error. He is not having issue with any other disk so we are trying to eliminate the disk as a cause, doesn't appear to be hardware related. Unless he is running out of HDD space. He says that he is using DVD-9.
