I am lost - I only get a 2D mkv from 3d disc

Version 8 is better with 3d you have nothing to loose by trying it.Their is another user having problems with this disk using 3d copy version 9 the iso movie he made was less than 25 gigs and he can't get it to play in 3d so I advised him also to try version 8 of fab to see if it will work in the blu ray copy.

I'm afraid v8 failed in a similar way to v9
It slowed right down and eventually failed leaving an MKV file that plays OK for the first 90 seconds and then goes into high speed until the point where the process failed
I will attach the logs here

P.S. I have had to edit dvdfab_internal2.log because even at 10mb it wouldn't attach

Did version 8 pick the trailer file as version 9 did?
Did you try the second movie file?
Are you in the Uk using a UK player?
What region is the disk?
Can you try to make this movie a m2ts 3d audiocopy and see if this works?
This way we will know if its the profile your using.

Sorry for the delay I tried as you suggested using m2ts 3d audiocopy
But after 16 hours it had progressed 1.25% and was still running but not getting anywhere!

I believe it's the disk some info on it- Subtitles English
Language and sound- Chinese Mandarinolby Digital 2.0 Stereo although it doesn't list it I heard this movie is very poorly dubbed in English.

Most likely very cheaply made.Does the store brought disk play in 3d as fab seems to list this disk as 2d with ssif file and I never seen a 3d movie listed in the log file like this unless Fab changed something as most 3d movies list as 3d in the title not normal title then later in the log with ssif file.This I found different and strange.

With this said and because you were able to make mkv 3d disks with your other 3d video and another user in blu ray copy mode made a iso on 25 gig disk (Iso is less than 25 gig) and can't get it to play in 3d.

And because you can't seem to get a mkv or m2ts file made from this disk I think it's a cheaply made disk that doesn't conform to blu ray 3d specs. and that's why it doesn't seem to work.

This is one 3d disk I passed up on so I can't try to reproduce this myself although theirs a user in blu ray copy that's going to try a iso next week to see if he can make a iso and get it to play in 3d.Sorry I couldn't help you more with this as i have over 210 3d movies this one i read about and decided to pass on.Plus you used the latest version 9 (9040) and couldn't make one you already posted that log.If you have trouble with other disks then continue to post but I really think this disk is at fault.I would like to be proven wrong for your sake though.

I DO appreciate your time and effort spent on this one.
It seemed a regular disc, but I haven't actually tried it in a BD player yet!

When I came to watch the BD the main audio track was in Chinese and the alternate was English audio dubbed over the Chinese audio!
In the end I wasn't taken with the film so perhaps it was good that I didn't get to rip it. Tho' I am sorry to have wasted your time.
I hope the next will be a more regular disc and work as well as the first one did.

You didn't waste my time I enjoy helping people and it's my way to give back to Fengtao software for all the years Fab was free for copying regular dvd's.
and still is as far as taking out the protection and making a full disk.

The guy I was talking about is going to check out this disk tomorrow so we will see if he gets a Iso to play in 3d.One guy couldn't get a iso to play in 3d so he is getting the disk to see if he can get it to work.

Did you play your store brought disk on a 3d player? if so did it play in 3d?

Yes the video played fine and the 3D was good.
The audio just wasn't right for me - dubbed never seem to, to me.
This one especially, since the Chinese audio was going on underneath!
The obviously didn't want redo the whole audio and to have to do the sound effects too.
I am not a great fan of Eastern, martial arts anyway. But I thought with the 3D I might enjoy it.

You may want to try the new 4010 beta version of fab one thing fixed was letters in the movies title not in English effecting folders not being made so this may or may not be the case with this disk but i would try it just to see if it works.

Results of the iso test should be in later today in the blu ray copy thread.I read about this poor audio over dub and didn't get this disk their are so many good disks out their in 3d.
