When you converted to an ISO, did you use Main Movie and remove some of the audio tracks?

I'm beginning to suspect that the problem is caused at the VOB file boundary (1GB) which would correspond to about 20 min of video for most movies.

Also, please give the new 7.0.1.0 Beta a try.

No - I did whole disc, but did shrink it from DVD9 to DVD5.

I'll give it a shot with the most latest-est beta. (I had been using 6.2.2.0).

      Thanks!

Nope, same thing using Beta version 7.

First glitch in JP occurs at 22:56, then 28:23, then 33:43 and 33:54 and at that point I stopped watching for it.

I'll try converting from the DVD9 iso file next...

          Update:

Still a significant gap, and still at the same time.

Markedly better using the ripped ISO, though by the end of the film it is, yes, still there.

I realize at this point I've hijacked e6bwhiz's thread. Does this warrant a new topic?

One other notable detail (maybe) is that I'm using an external USB multi-drive. What else can I post to help out?

            Same Issue

I have the same problem that you do. Not for Jurassic Park because I haven't tried copying it yet, but for several other movies. I know my setup is working because MOST of my movies copy just fine to WMV or AVI. The ones that don't convert properly will not convert in any format. They do the same audio sync issue that you mention and so I usually skip them for now until I figure out a way to successfully convert them.
I always do mine through the Recommended Method of DVD to DVD (hdd) using DVD9 and copying the whole movie. I then convert that to single file using the DVD to Mobile. I could tell you my hardware setup but as I mentioned, I don't think that's the issue because most of my other DVD's convert fine. I'm still reading through the threads for more help because I can't we are the only few people with this problem. Some DVD's that won't progressively get worse on audio sync for me are, Up, Bolt, Master and Commander, Trading Places, The Matrix, etc. Just recently tried Beverly Hills Cop and got the same problem. Does yours do this on every disc or just a few like mine?

              Hi, Johnson -

Only some. It seems to be a crapshoot, to be honest. I haven't kept track so far, though, just deleted the files that have been corrupted.

I've also found it less risky to do the rip to DVD, then the conversion to mobile.

I'm building a new computer that's going to be super fast for gaming. I'm going to try and do the conversions on that computer since it's fresh and see if the same thing happens but I'm pretty convinced that it won't matter. BTW, I'm using Win7 Home Basic x64 with an AMD Athalon X2 5000+, I have an ATI Xfx 4650 1GB graphics card and 6GB's RAM. I have the latest FULL version of DVD Fab. My system I'm building will have dual GPU's with an SSD hard drive and I think my conversions will go a little faster so we'll see.

                  Well, this one's a quad-core 2.5ghz with 6GB of RAM and an Nvidia GTX260...

But who knows - maybe an AMD/ATI box will be more successful?

                    Same problem here

I have the same problem with the audio syncs ripping to the generic h264 mp4 format. It doesn't happen on all movies, but the ones it does happen on happen consistently:

                    2012
                    Braveheart
                    Commando
                    Carlito's Way

I have many more examples, this are just the latest. The suckiest thing is if you don't double check your rips afterward, you have to go back through ALL of them to try and weed out the ones with the sync issue.

I have been unable to find any options that fix it. Braveheart is probably the worst of the bunch.

What gets me is that they're not all "NEW" movies, or all "OLD" movies.

Are they from the same publisher maybe?

I came onto these forums to try and find a solution to this specific problem

I just found my first out of sync audio rip on Castle season 1 disc 3.
The first two discs ripped the episodes fine, but disc three the first episode ripped fine, no audio out of sync, but the second episode on the disc goes out of sync about half way through the episode and gets progressively worse.

I've tried it on two different computers with no change.

I really hope this problem can be resolved soon. if at all.

Yeah I'm trying out different options and build to fix it. Maybe I'll downgrade to the first 5.x release. I heard that it wasn't a problem then...

                              You don't have to downgrade.

                              You can have version 3, 4, 5 & 6 all installed and co-existing.

Well I confirmed its a problem with the latest beta version and at least back to 5.x. I'm trying [other software] now to see if it is any better. I have a whole library I'm trying to rip and I can't spend the time after each rip to see if the audio is synced with the video.
