BD Ripper (3D Plus) BD to Mobile/progressive fps degradation/failure

Brand new to BD to Mobile.
No matter what profile I've attempted...
    MKV, AVI or MP4...
and no matter how I configure the conversion, 1-pass, 2-pass, alter various settings and toggle on/off CUDA (Decoder) and CUDA and software (Encoder)...
the conversion progressively slows to a crawl and eventually just fails to proceed at all.

I've tried this on about 6 flicks.
I've also tried this with v.7030, v.7035 Beta and v.7040.
Very similar to what we saw awhile back with certain versions of Fab 5.xxx and DVD to Mobile conversion problems.

I have no problems ripping BD discs to my hdds. I've also been able to play these to my TV via an Argosy media player (HV335T)
which has pleased me to no end.
(I wish I could figure out the subtitles, but that's another issue).

I've had great success with DVD to Mobile using GregiBoy's samsung profile and these conversion rates are ok with Fab 7.xxx.
I'm seeing 300-500 fps depending on the profile.

    Running win7 64-bit, core i7 920 (quad),
    nVidia GTX 260 (896 MB GDDR3)

    mainman,
the problem you have is among other problems (really bad output quality) is common for this mode. I'm sending solution I have found in your PM.
BTW, my solution is for MKV, but I'm working on others.

I am having almost the same problem you are, it's posted here:

So far all the things I have tried from TechSupport have not worked.

Today I even took my blu-ray player out of my PC and installed it in my wifes machine. Even in her machine I get the same exact results.

Well, I've read both your postings, but still need some additional information to give sensible advise. I need to know what videocards you machine and your wife's machine have. What preset of BR2Mob you were using, what A/V Codec settings you had, do you have CoreAVC installed.

I have tried setting the A/V codec for H.264 to both CUDA and DXVA, and today I tried setting everything to software. Same results.
I tried BR to Mobile Xbox 360, to Mkv and MP4, all do the same exact thing, get to about 17% and just sit there.

I downloaded and installed CoreAVC and set it as the H.264 codec, and get the same exact results. I am convinced that the registration key provided to me has something to do with this, or it's causing this part of the application to fail.

Here's what driving me nuts. My system worked fine with the trial version of DVD fab, but once I installed my regisration key that I recieved

from DVDfab after purchasing both the blu-ray to blu-ray options and BR to Mobile option, it stopped working. I can rip disks to images just

fine, but BR to mobile is a no go.

My wifes video card is a GeForce 8800 GTX OC by EVGA. Her A/V codecs were all set to software when I tried it. The Blu-Ray drive is now back in my machine.

Thank you for any help you can provide. I am willing to try anything. After trying all kinds of software to get my blu-ray collection into a digital format on my HDD for streaming to my 360 DVDFAB worked the best. I buy it, enter the key, and BD to Mobile stops working, it's almost funny at this point.

Bingo. I have GTX 295 and I know what are you talking about. Our cards having multiple GPUs, and Developers are trying various scenarios to manage GPU workload distribution. It this point, I can tell it doesn't work right and it's unstable.
While they're working on it, I decided to "downgrade" my card to single GPU and suggest you to do the same until CUDA management is fixed.
If you install you card correctly, you should have NVIDIA Control Panel (right-click anywhere on desktop). Open it. Under 3D settings (left column) go to "Set multi-GPU and PhysX configuration". 1. Disable PhysX GPU acceleration and 2. Tick "Do not use multi-GPU mode". Close. Select CUDA in A/V Codec settings in DVDFab, and try again. Please let me know how it goes.

                I turned off PhysX.

I do not see where I can turn off multi-CPU usage. But I did set multi-display/mixed GPU acceleration to single performance.

Turned off Power managment on the card.

Texture Filtering-Triliear optimaztion is set to ON

Max prerender frames is set to 3

Antialiasing - Gamma correction is set to ON

All other settings are either off or set to application controlled.

I made sure CUDA was the A/V codec, and it does the same thing. I am trying to burn from an image of a blu ray that I created as well as the blu ray drive, both fail.

DVDFAB starts and the encoding FPS's start out around 100, drop down slowly to around .09 and everything comes to a crawl.

Here are some entries from the internal log.

                  Wait a minute.

                  0m 24.47s: convert profile(xbox360.default)

What is this? There are two presets in BRtoXbox option - mp4 and wmv. You created something and set as a default. I don't know what you set there, but it could cause problems. Would you please try one of the standard presets for me.

I will try a standard setting again, but they have not worked either.

And What I am doing now is the same thing I was doing when I was using the trial version when it did work.

I will let you know what happens when I try a standard setting under the 360 options.

                    I won't change a thing

Uninstalled DVDFAB, cleaned up all files and folders on hard drive from DVDfab cleaned up registry, then reinstalled.

Now it seems to work and let me rip .mkv files @ 1080p WOOHOO ! Thanks for the help.

I now need a program that can convert the .mkv to mp4 or.wmv file @ 1080p, then I will be set.

I still would like to know why I could rip with the trial version at 1080 using the 360 mobile setting to .wmv but once I put in my registration number it stopped letting me do that.

                        Why not just use Fab?

I just realized that I can convert the mkv to whatever I want with DVDFAB's File to Mobile option.

But I still would like to know why I can't just take a bluray image and rip it directly to 1080p with bluray to mobile .wmv ? I don't mind spending the money on another DVDFAB license for file to mobile, but now I have to rip then convert the mkv file to a wmv file, which takes a lot of time.

                            You've got me lost here?

Are you using the Blu-ray to Mobile module?

What about using one of the AVI or MP4 profiles directly?

No other profile under bluray to mobile has 1080p output except the to mkv option. Unless I am missing something.
