Version is mismatched error

I just converted to a SSD, and did a clean windows install. I accessed my old C: drive via a docking station, and used it to pull off my old programs. I copied over the dvdfab virtual drive folder to the new SSD and ran the .exe. After installing, I got the following error:

DVDFab Virtual Drive version is mismatched
Please restart your PC or reinstall DVDFab.

I restarted to no avail. I uninstalled the version I had and downloaded the latest version, only to get the same error.

I used to use the virtual drive all the time and truly need to find a way to get it working. I am absolutely lost on what to try next, and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Please follow these steps and tell us the result:

1. uninstall DVDFab Virtual Drive and restart your computer,
2. Reinstall DVDFab Virtual Drive.

I tried a fresh uninstall/install today.
The first time I didn't install the DVDFab storage controllers.
I got the same error message as the OP.
I uninstalled again .
I then allowed the install of the DVDFab storage controllers .
This time the virtual drive installed correctly & worked correctly.

Maybe you didn't allow the install of the DVDFab storage controllers with the virtual drive.
