My stupid question of the day is: How do I keep the key frames when making an MKV or MP4 file. Thank you for the help.

I guess I am not asking the right way. When I am ripping a DVD or Blu ray movie it has key frames that allow you to fast forward to the spot that you want. My problem is when I am ripping to either MKV or MP4 the final output does not have those key frames. I wish to keep them. Thanks for the quick replay.
