12.0.0.3 Had the same result. Just an update.

I decided just for the heck of it to try the German audio track. Same result with that choice.

The developer needs some time to check the issue, please kindly wait, thank you.

We're getting close. The movie did rip to .mkv with 12.0.0.4 however the audio is choppy and it loses sync quite quickly.

I'm running 12.05 (the latest build) and I'm having the exact same issue. I'm literally sitting here right now watching the Sons of Katie Elder blu ray do absolutly nothing in DVDFab. I just got this blu ray as a gift and the first thing I'm trying to do is rip this to my collection and its a failure. Ugh.

So I've killed the process for SoKE and moved on to El Dorado, another John Wayne classic. Guess what? Its doing the exact same thing. CPU, GPU and GPU memory are all fluctuating but nothing is actually happening.

I'm going to switch over to software ripping and see if that makes a difference.

So I have now switched over to software transcoding and it seems to be working. However, my CPU is pegged out at 100% and the rip says its going to take more than an hour.

I'm not sure its safe to run a CPU at that state for that long.

No Go. The CPU stayed pegged at 100% until the process reached 50% done. Then the CPU usage dropped to 12-20% and the process just hung at 50%.

Please zip the whole log folder of DVDFab 12 and send it to us to analyze the issue, thanks.

Please try to use a different audio track to convert again and feedback, thank you.

So choosing a different audio track - both foreign languages didn't work. It's now January and the last response was November. They were close to resolution as I stated but the audio was choppy and off sync. They have had ample time to review the .iso I sent in long ago. Can they please look into this issue further?

have you tried ripping the disc to MP4 format ??
                            see if that works.

I have a problem with the same title/disc, but in this case I'm trying to make a movie-only backup of the disc to BD-R, with one English audio stream (which is in Dolby TrueHD) and one English subtitle track.

Making a copy (which didn't require re-encoding the video stream) to a folder went well.

Playing that folder with a software video-player (MPC-HC x64) works fine.

Then I burn the folder to disc with ImgBurn and try to play the burnt disc with MPC-HC x64. This too works fine.

But when I play the disc on my standalone blu-ray player there is no sound. The movie contains an audio track, but there's no sound coming from the television. As if the Cinavia copy protection has kicked in 20 minutes too early (right from the start instead of 20 minutes into the movie).

I'm currently re-encoding the audio stream to AC-3 640kbps and will try to find out if the re-encoded audio produces sound on my standalone blu-ray player.

In case someone is wondering if something might be wrong with the standalone player... I have it for some years now and this is the first time I've encountered this behavior with any original of copied movies.

does the standalone player have the latest firmware/software update ??
