Unable to Copy Movies Off Multiple Discs - All Versions

Have a problem with multiple disc where there are more than one movie on a disk.

Looked for similar posts and the only thing that was close was the post ‘Running Multiple Instances’. Checked and did everything recommend by request. Upgraded to V12.0.0.6 with no change with the issue I am having.

Problem is with the meta data for the second movie that is on the disc. You are not able to change it from the first movie. Have tried this in Ripper and .iso, where you can ‘choose other title’ on the disc other than the first movie. Afterwards can ‘Search Movie/TV’ to get the right meta data for the first but not able to change the movie title or what it is for the second movie which is a different movie.

Have tried to ignore it not being able to correct the second movie and proceed to copy it to the server and update it manually after it finishes uploading to the server but the second movie always crashes without me being able to put it on the server, comes up with a ‘Report Info’ to send ‘crashdump.dmp, error.xml. and MKB_Ro.inf’ logs to send all the time (this time sent those logs via feedback as noted to send). Work around is I have to individually put each movie on the disc on the server and update it manually and sometimes that way crashes also. Need help and not sure what has changed. Please update! Log attached.

Thanks october262, your reference is close but the movies on the disc are two totally different movies on the discs apart from each other. There is one disc that I have that I am trying to copy that might work to what you posted, is a disc that has two versions of the same movie on it, one in 2D and the other in 3D on the same disc that I would like to split the two movies into one collection folder and crashes also but other than that one - all the other ones, which I have a totally of five DVD's are multiple movies on each disc.

Example- Picked up 'The Wolf man - Complete Legacy Collection' it has four discs in that set - there is only one disc that has only one movie on it, the other three discs has two different movies on each of their discs for a total of seven different movies out of that set.

I can only copy the first movie off of any one multiple disc after it is identified and I can not change it or fix the title from whatever that first movie is. Thinking DVDfab see's that it is the same movie title by default and not being able to change it....it crashes. Nothing I can do afterwards works to get that second movie copied off the disc. Been working around this problem for awhile now but down to just needing to copy these five discs left onto the sever and having a bit of a 'new' struggle doing so. Hoping this helps a little in clarification......thanks!

might try clicking common settings - dvd - pathplayer - disable pathplayer
then common settings - dvd - dvd protection - uncheck cloud decryption service
restart dvdfab and retry the discs again. see if you still get the crash again.

Thanks again for some suggestions and help october262...tried the settings as you noted, unfortunately it did not work for me, all the multiple movie discs still crashed after trying to copy the second movie off the disc. Tried two other different ways also, tried to copy the two movies off the disc without using the 'Search Movie/TV' function (which only works for only one of the movies) and tried to use 'Ripper' mode for MKV.MVC Passthrough instead of Main Movie mode (,iso) and both ways still crashed proceeding to copy the second movie. Remember posting this same issue back on the Movie Server Forum using other multiple discs, so have proved out that it is not the discs because DVDfab64-10 works, something stopped working using this function with versions 11 & 12.

have you tried the customize mode ?? - https://www.dvdfab.cn/tutorial/dvd-to-dvd-customize
it allows you to freely copy any content of your dvd.

Yes, I have tried customize but ran into a road block with it sending it to the movie sever. It works but doesn't output to the movie server.

Again yes, I also thought that might work but I get the message 'Currently only the full Disc modes support ISO directly to the Movie Server'. So it seems customize is generic to burning on discs, which is fine and does work for all applications but doesn't meet the movie server applications.

Using customize is still an open option to use but I would have to copy the movies to a DVD or my hard drive, then put the movies from them on to the movie sever, think that really defeats using DVDfab, for me at least! Still trying to work around finding a fix, have not given up yet but any help provided is much help acknowledged.

merge - load the disc, choose other titles, choose ISO - https://www.dvdfab.cn/tutorial/dvd-to-dvd-merge

Have not tried using merge at all yet, will read up on how to use it and try it out. Thanks for the link in doing so to see if that will work for me.

Finally had a chance to check out the merge function and just like the customize mode/function you can not use it to burn copies directly to the movie server for ISO. Clone and Full burn to the server is only supported in both merge and customize. Tired a brand new multiple disk I picked up yesterday using the method I have always been using to split the disk into two separate movies before downloading the new update V12.0.0.7 and it crashed. It crashes after putting the first movie on the server so I have to delete it before I can try to copy it again, deleted the first movie off the server, downloaded V12.0.0.7, tried copying it again....the same as always and this time......no crash copying the movies after downloading V12.0.0.7. Is it a fluke......can't so say for sure but it sure looks like the update fixed this problem. Will try the rest over the weekend when I have more time.
