    You Tube unrated files

I am running StreamFab v5.0.4.2 and have run across an interesting issue. I was trying to grab a You Tube movie trailer . When StreamFab analyzes the file it fails stating the file is unrated and I must login to You Tube to confirm my age. If I try to login to You Tube using StreamFab it says I can't because the browser type isn't supported. The file plays fine with a normal browser.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

try logging in to youtube using your edge browser, and then on the streamfab youtube browser - see post #8 - https://forum.dvdfab.cn/forum/softwa...n-into-youtube

No luck. I tried logging in first with Edge, chrome and Firefox. All give the same error when I then try to login using the StreamFab browser window.

I provided the You Tube URL above. Maybe you can try it and see if it works for you ? That will tell me if it is something on my end or not.

      Thanks,

Try this as a workaround - Since the problem is the movie rating system, go to where they don't use the rating system. First, you'll need a VPN. Next, you need to read through this Google doc (https://support.google.com/moviestvp...answer/6224874) and find locations that lists No for Requires Ratings and shows Not Available for Accepted System. Match up a VPN location with one of the list locations and go there. Then load up StreamFab and try to download your trailer just like before. I used Lithuania and had no trouble getting the trailer you had listed.

Ultimately StreamFab should offer a user-agent switcher within the program. It's already been suggested several times.

Getting back to the list at (https://support.google.com/moviestvp...answer/6224874), other locations may also work if they list No for Requires Ratings and something for Accepted System but I didn't check them.

Thanks for confirming the issue and a workaround. I decided that since it is simply a 32 second movie trailer that I would screen scrape the video. I'll consider this approach in the future if I have something more important and longer.
