Come on, Chameleon, you should know this. AAC LC (Advanced Audio Codec Low Complexity) is a codec that provides excellent quality sound at very low bitrates. You could go down to 64 kb/s and still get real good sound on 2 channel.

I downloaded nine movies, TV series (based on a true story), and single episode of American Ninja warrior (S15E05) from peacock last night using 6.1.3.0. no issues.

You are correct that that is the default (I believe) but only for 5.1. He was using 2.0 which is what I always use. That's why it looked oh so familiar to me.
Personally I think people get too hung up on bitrates, both audio and video. With regards to audio, when mp3s were really hot you would often see articles about "blind" tests they would perform on people where they would play samples at different bitrates and ask which was the worst. From what I can remember most people couldn't tell the difference at 128kb/s or better. None could tell the difference at 192kb/s on up. I haven't seen any of those tests in awhile. Probably because there are so many different methods of coding audio now and they already proved their point with mp3s that most people's hearing sucks.

I agree with you 100%. People get way too hung up on Bitrates, but if you have a choice, it would be prudent to choose the higher of the two.

Good question...I wasn't keeping the download, just testing to download. That's the first I've used Peacock in a while, but I already have all the Jaws in 4K
