The competition had Amazon, MAX and Peacock cracked within weeks of the January CDM revocation - are we seriously expected to believe that they have somehow managed to employ the only developers and programmers on the planet who can decrypt these DRMS, leaving poor SF with no one to hire?
Or are we supposed to buy that that SF actually has an in-house developer and a programming team who really can decrypt them - but it's somehow just taken thousands and thousands of hours over the past 4 months . . . and they still haven't managed to pull it off? This "we're dogged but just really, really, really inept" scenario is actually even more embarassing than the first one, since if it's true, then the gang who couldn't decrypt straight should have been fired months ago, along with whoever authorized them to keep on drilling a dry hole, rather than hiring people who actually know how to accomplish the task.
There's actually no good reason that we shouldn't all be downloading now - other than that SF has decided it's not worth hiring the people who can do the job. The fish stinks from the head, and it's clear that it's due to some deliberate decisions, and not uncrackable DRMs, that this product has been turned into a screen recorder.
What's really insulting is they're still attempting to shine us on with Wilson throwing us a "we're working on it" bone, to make it appear as though they take it seriously.

The funniest thing is the login issue with Google accounts on third-party websites other than YouTube, which took several years and has not been resolved yet. Recently, I have tried YT Saver, iTubeGo, and VidJuice UniTube, and all three software have solved this problem. Everything is normal and will not be intercepted by Google prompts!Last edited by hizbf; 05-15-2024, 04:00 AM.

Bottom line, there is ZERO converting going on. The method used for Amazon and Netflix in SF now is based on the CleverGet method of screen recording.

I find it funny every time I see someone complain about them making a new module or something and use those resources to fix the DRM. Clearly the DRM personnel have different qualifications than someone just making a module. Have you ever thought that those people don't know how to fix or crack DRM? Are those Module makers just supposed to sit at a workstation some where watching youtube or make random code that doesn't account to anything until the DRM fixers fix the issue? Read the room people and realize that people are hired to do certain things.

If that's the case their skill set distribution and assignment as well as manpower planning in the workplace is apparently incompatible with success. Painfully so.
You have 10 guys in a boat that have two jobs. 5 have mops, the other 5 buckets. In fair weather this works. This boat is now sinking. You'd think they'd all have buckets by now. By your analogy there are still 5 guys trying to mop a flooding deck. If it were my boat those mop guys would all have buckets as well. Poor manpower planning is NOT an acceptable explanation. Not in this case. Not after almost four months.
If you hire competent employees your business has potential. If your business is to succeed those competent employees must also be capable. For success under adverse conditions they must also be flexible.
Something that emerged in businesses during the 80s is cross training. Businesses realized their work force had to be adaptable to handle shifts in trends and workload. Group A does job A. Group B does job B. But, train group A to do group B's job and vice versa. If A falls behind B can pick up the slack until things level out again. It's called forward thinking and was taught in Common Sense 101 but obviously no longer offered as a prerequisite at university.
The 7-P plan: Proper Prior Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance.
Win11 Pro 22H2, no bloatware, no spyware, no crapware, no TPM, no Secure Boot, no MS account. And yes, you can dual boot 7 and 11.

See, we're well aware that they have people who can cobble together a poorly functioning rip-off of CleverGet to screen record/re-encode, but what's infuriating is that they're clearly not interested in maintaining SF as a functioning direct downloader - which is the product we bought. It became very clear early in 2022 that SF's financial focus had shifted from maintaining the larger platforms to promoting the sale of crap add-on modules (which they would, in turn, stop maintaining). Problems that should have been easy to remedy for any developer who knew their job were never fixed, so it became increasing obvious no such person or people existed, nor was SF going to invest any money in hiring them. It didn't exactly take a psychic to see where this was eventually going to end up - namely, off the road and into the nearest ditch.
Let me point out yet again that the competition had cracked everything but Netflix within 10 days of the January CDM revocation. That's the standard. Accept it. Realize that to still be making excuses for SF four months later is, to be kind, extremely misguided on your part. Since you "realize that people are hired to do certain things," do you seriously believe that that Anystream snatched up every decent developer on the planet so that poor SF had no one to hire? Please tell me you don't believe that PornFab has actually been paying these mythical "DRM fixers" to thrash away at decrypting those DRMs for the past four months, and will just keep on merrily employing their talentless no-result behinds in perpetuity, on the off-chance that sometime in 2028 maybe they'll get lucky? Because yikes.Last edited by artsunlimited; 05-18-2024, 04:31 PM.

Do you, really? Read the room, yourself, and realize there are no "DRM personnel" or "DRM fixers" who will be fixing "the issue," either now or in the future, unless SF comes to its senses and decides to bust a move and hire them. Any decent developer could have decrypted Peacock long before this
99% of developers in this category make a lot of money. Their salary would most probably be more than Fab is willing to pay. Most devs that are capable make upwards of $500 to $800 an hour. I am a developer, I know guys and gals like this. They are under an NDA never to disclose their work. 90% stay true to that agreement, the other 10% go for the cash. Finding one is not easy but it is possible.Programmer in Python, Java, JavaScript, Swift, PHP, SQL, C#, C++, Go, R

why they haven't cracked a single DRM (with the exception of Hulu) in four solid months.

No doubt that will change in the future. My personal hypothesis on this is that Disney has been so busy with their total takeover of Hulu and the merging of their services that they haven't gotten around to updating the DRM on Hulu yet. It will eventually happen and if the pattern for StreamFab continues, they will make Hulu into another screen recorded module.
