Netflix download issues - any series or movie

Hi,

I seem to be unable to download anything from netflix.

I am able to watch / stream using your app, plus roku devices, playstation4 etc.. so access to my account is fine, but when I go to download - it does not download anything, just goes to "parsing data" and then failed. Thats for everything I try to download.

I don't use downloader very often. But today I got an unpleasant surprise. The High Speed switch has been removed from the download queue display.

When I first demoed and then purchased DVDFab Downloader, that feature was there. I expected it to stay there. Why was it removed?

If this feature is no longer present, then I paid a lot of money for something useless!

I want to/expect to download in real-time ONLY!

I tried to download a movie from Netflix "Death of Me" several times today and it failed each time during "parsing". Attached is the log.

Yup 4.0.0.0 broke Netflix entirely, when 3.2.0.5 was still working fine just today before installing.

also I used the 32 bit download link specifically so I could keep my working 64 bit copy and it overwrote my 3.2.0.5 x64 version,, this is pure stupid

luckily I still had a download of 3.2.0.2 which still works with Netflix

This is strange behavior indeed.....I haven't upgraded to 4.0.0.0 yet and still on 3.2.0.5 but until today I wasn't able to get anything from Netflix to download without failing after 4 seconds into trying. Just downloaded 10 movies from Netflix and out of the 10 only 2 randomly errored out and won't download and they all downloaded at 1080 when it wasn't doing any of this this last week. (Tried Edge and Firefox and they both working the same) Not sure if anybody else is seeing this change with Netflix, haven't tried any of the other sites yet...

Figured out the problem!

Turns out I updated both Chrome and Firefox, I previously tried to set my default browser to Firefox but did no actually change it in the Windows 10 settings panel. That's when it was working.

I later realized the default hadn't changed properly and set it correctly to Firefox, when trying to troubleshoot.

Just set the default browser back to Chrome (the latest version) and the previous version is MOSTLY working.

Some shows like Shadow and Bone are flaky, but MOST things are downloading fine again. with the updated version of Chrome as the default browser and the older downloader, I'm not willing to try the newest downloader again since it overwrote my working version previously and old versions are not archived/available

I dont know if I have uploaded the right log file as theres quite a few but the drmdownloader seems to be the one reporting errors, thanks dvdfab

Thanks, no worries. If this helps - some series and movies, I can download. Its very odd, it does not even have to be new releases either.

This information might help to find the issue. I have noticed, that the download problems exists especially for videos with the resolution of 960x540. Videos with Full HD camn be downloaded without problems. [ATTACH]n396304[/ATTACH]

Just tried to step back to Version 3.2.0.2. (which i had saved on my HD), but the problem with Netflix remains the same. No DL possible, process failed. Tried to download several series and Spiderman Homecoming. No success. Waiting for an Update. Hope you can solve this. Greetings.

Now, not only do I have a problem with downloading in real time, Amazon prime won't download at all.
First I got this message: "Failed to load URL primevideo://watch.amazon.com/detail?asin=B000M2O1U6&action=download&territory=US&ref_=atv_dp_atf_vod_sd_mv_dwld_t1ALAAAAAA0wr0_atv_dwld_web_pvwa_dp with error ERR_UNKNOWN_URL_SCHEME (-302)."

I also another message from (somewhere) that said Fire Fox not supported. That was strange, especially since I was running MS Edge at the time. - I then installed Fires Fox and it still didn't work. Which makes this software TWICE as useless!

Sorry if I sound sound critical, but somehow I think that the ScreenFab team needs to do their homework..

The developers are working hard and they will fix the problems soon. They are not responsible if the providers change their DRM algorithm.

I understand that there is a current problem with DRM changes at Netflix, but my question for any long time users of this program is "Are there always certain movies, etc on the Netflix site that fail to download? In other words does this downloader ever work on 100 percent of the videos on Netflix"?

Anything new seems to fail, some older titles work but I have a feeling they're working through their back catalogue which is why some of the older movies or tv series "may" still download but the whole thing may have been processed by their new drm by now as its been a couple of weeks so they have had the time to get through it. It might be a 6 monthly thing that is "normal" for them as they change the key. Im sure it will get sorted soon and we'll probably go through it again come the new year as they change it again (unless its an annual update by the streaming services). We'll find out I guess :)
