Developer needs to look at this please

    Streamfab,

Previously, it was pointed out in post (see reference link below) that StreamFab creates a temp file that contains a users Email Address, Machine ID, User's IP address and other info every time it launches in the StreamFab and DVDFab directories in path C:\Users\User ID\Documents\DVDFab & DVDFab\StreamFab directories.

Mona said she'd have the developer look at it & now it no longer creates this file in the StreamFab directory.

    Reference to previous post:

    *****

This file is still being created in version 5.0.4.2 every time StreamFab launches in path C:\Users\User ID\Documents\DVDFab with the file name of 65518339-F04A-4B70-839E-FD168961FDV1

This is an unprotected file that can be opened with notepad and represents an unwanted security issue.

Please have the developer also address the creation of this file in DVDFab directory every time you launch StreamFab.

    Thanks!

It's not fixed yet, the developer is aware of it, please kindly wait, thanks.

        Mona,

I noticed that in today's release, 5.0.4.3, that StreamFab seems to be back to creating this file in both paths again, but now in the StreamFab path without the temp in front of the file name like it did in 5.0.4.2.

        Now on 5.0.4.3

        c:\users"my username"\Documents\DVDFab\StreamFab\65518339-F04A-4B70-839E-FD168961FDV1

        c:\users"my username"\Documents\DVDFab\65518339-F04A-4B70-839E-FD168961FDV1

As previously indicated, these files can simply be opened with notepad and contain User email address, IP, machine ID, etc...

        Thanks!
