    Canal+ Unable to download

    Streamfab version : 6.1.6.0

    Hello,

    The analysis does not start. I tried to go back to a previous version. With Streamfab 6.1.5.7 it scans, but it doesn't download.​

    We can't try to analyze your issue or test your settings because you didn't include a copy of your StreamFab.log. Please refer to the sticky at the top of this forum as to how to post an issue. https://forum.dvdfab.cn/forum/softwa...eamfab-section

    In order for the Staff, Moderators, and User Volunteers to possibly find the solution to your problem(s) they need as much information from you as you can possibly give. At the very minimum, please get in the habit of attaching your StreamFab.log with each report of an issue.

    DO NOT edit your StreamFab.log. If your log is too big to attach, first try to compress it using Zip or RAR. If that is still too big, delete your existing StreamFab.log and rerun StreamFab again until your problem is documented. In that case, your StreamFab.log should consist of just one session.

    The start of a log session will look something like this:
    -------------------------9956 2 Downloader 6.1.6.0 C:\Program Files\DVDFab\StreamFab\StreamFab64.exe Begin 2024-01-20--------------

    The end of a log session will look something like this:
    -------------------------9956 2 Downloader End 2024-01-20----------------------------

    Note, the beginning numbers match, signifying only one session.

        are you trying to download a movie or a sport show ??
        i get the "analyzing video URL" box to show.
        so try clearing your cookies & site data & cache, restart streamfab
        and retry canal+ again.

          A TV show !
          I clear everything. So now it's analyzing, but don't donwload. The show start but don't download

            I don't see any reason why it will not download. You are set to default to 720p and EC3. Both are available as shown below.

            I see nothing unusual in your log other than your back and forth between 6.1.5.7 and 6.1.6.0. Forget about 6.1.5.7. I can not help you with anything but the latest version.
            My suggestion is to do a clean installation of the latest StreamFab release, meaning use a "professional Uninstaller" such as Revo, Ashampoo, and many others (Google "Uninstallers" for additional free and pay programs) to uninstall SF. Right now, I prefer the Ashampoo - . Revo sometimes makes you reboot your computer.

            1) Delete your StreamFab Log and Temp folders.
            2) Run your uninstaller and remove the existing StreamFab including the registry entries. At one point, it will ask you if you want to save your StreamFab configuration. Say NO. A StreamFab window will come up and ask why you are uninstalling, choose Other and type Clean Install.
            3) Start reinstall using latest offline update file. I prefer to get mine from the Sticky at the top of this forum.
            4) A StreamFab popup will ask for your email/password to authorize your StreamFab. Give your DVDFab email/password, not your forum email/password, if different.
            5) Ignore all the garbage advertisements. I don't think I have to tell you that.
            6) Reset up your Settings and the GUI the way you want it to look.
            7) It is always best to close and then open StreamFab at this point.
            8) Give StreamFab a try.

              I uninstalled StreamFab, cleaned everything, reinstalled version 6.1.6.0 and the Canal+ video download does not start.

                I've had the same problem since January 19. I filed a ticket on January 21st. Here is StreamFab's response: This problem has been reported to our research and development department, we will fix it as soon as possible. Sorry for any inconvenience this situation has caused you.


                Your patience and help will be greatly appreciated.

                This morning I got a new message when I requested a video on Canal. I am giving you the printout of this message which I have never received before.​

                    I'm just going over old user reports to see if they might be related to the DRM change. I found no evidence of that in all your StreamFab.logs for Canal+. But all your logs were recorded before the DRM change started, so I'm not surprised. If you already filed a ticket, I would usually bow out and let them handle it, but if you want to attach a more recent StreamFab.log, I'll take a look at it.

                        FALSE ALERT! I managed to download 2 episodes of a series, but the others (after "Analysis" message) failed. Testing on a film gives the same result!!
                        It’s starting to get long!!​

                            I see what you mean. Episodes 1 and 5 work, but 6 and 7 fail. Not unusual with DRM problems for older videos to work but new ones to fail. This does appear to be the DRM issue, but the error numbers are not what we normally see. Canal+ seems to do a lot of things differently than the other streamers, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised if they give different error codes. I'll report this to the Developers and add it to the list. Thank you for sending the log.

                              Sorry for the late answer. Thank you for your help for Canal+.
                              I have no more messages but all the files are in error. I am attaching the new log. The problem of January 19 is different from that of January 26 (DRM).
                              I hope that with the future version the problem of 19 will have disappeared.

                              Since version 6161 I have another problem with DRM MPD files on replays of RTS TV Switzerland and RTBF TV Belgium. Videos no longer play in StreamFab, so analysis cannot be carried out. I can view the videos on Firefox.
                              The tests are at the end of the log.
