Is anyone having trouble with forced narratives on Netflix?? The movies Skyscraper, Hidden Strike, and The Great Wall all have dialogue in English and I believe Chinese. When the Chinese dialogue is spoken when watching on Netflix, the subtitles are displayed. After downloading the movies with Streamfab the subtitles are not displayed. I have an open ticket with DVDFab the only response I get is -- wait for the next update. Its been so long now and with all of the DRM problems I no longer remember which update screwed it up, but I do know it was working in the past.

I tried Hidden Strike + The Great Wall (Skyscraper is not @ NF Germany)
Both offered ForcedNarrative in multiple languages ..
.. I selected English and German and see no problem:
It's always safe with setting "Extract to SRT File"
If you need to remux and it doesn't work ..
.. try update the tools here

What is the issue exactly? When they speak something other than English, there are no ENGLISH subtitles displayed?
If that is the case, please copy and paste the output of MediaInfo in TEXT mode here.
Do you tell StreamFab to download the subtitles as a separate file or do you embed them into the file?
Also, what player do you use to play the file and is it an MP4 or an MKV.
Lastly, have you tried manually selecting the subtitles and/or enabling them manually?

1. Correct, no subtitles are displayed. 2. What and where is Mediainfo? It is not in the Streamfab Log or Temp folders. I don't tell Streamfab anything. As you can see from the screenshot I have no options to do anything, unlike the German screenshot (directly above mine) which allows the user to have multiple options. Lastly, a Samsung Bluray player, a Sony DVD player, along with Playerfab-none of which show the subtitles. I have tried changing from English forced narratives to different language forced narratives, none of which work.

I had this issue with Star Wars rips. Even though alien dialog is a forced sub when you play the disc, playing a user created media file requires you to select and enable the subs stream.

I changed the settings on my Samsung DVD player from original to English, the only settings I could change under the subtitle menu. That did not work. Try it and see if it works for you. Here is the URL. The subtitle is 3 min 24 sec into video, Hidden Strike. I don't understand why German Streamfab has more options to use than the US version. When I tried to open a support ticket with DVDfab about the difference, they closed the ticket saying it was a duplicate ticket. The screen shot from october262 clearly shows the difference.

PlayerFab and VLC on your computer are more simple. They should play back the original downloaded files just fine, and have the option to toggle subs on/off, and select which subs you want to use since there is more than one subtitle track in this file per your MediaInfo screen shot in Post 7.
If VLC or PlayerFab can't detect or allow you to select the subs, that is another issue.
Also keep in mind that many players do not respect the "Forced" and "Default" flags if set on subtitles embedded in MP4 files, meaning even if a subtitle track is flagged as default or forced (in MediaInfo, use the View Pull down and select TEXT, you'll see more details about the subs) you will still have to toggle them on and select the subtitles you want. This is appears to be a MP4 limit.

Playerfab does not show the forced subtitles. Here is a screen shot of mediainfo. I've had a support ticket open on DVDfab since last year for forced narrative issues on Netflix with no help whatsoever. I've had a Forum post since 6-18. What I would like to hear is that someone with a US Streamfab tells me that 3 min and 24 sec into the video Hidden Strike on Netflix that it either works or doesn't work. Can someone tell me why practically every new version of Streamfab has some sort of subtitle fix for something, but not for Netflix.
