This is one of the few things that is NOT a Win11 or Win11pro issue.
I have no issues with SF in Win11pro.
It could be a network issue, it could be a corrupted Win11 hosts file issue, or some other software on their system.
They could try unplugging their modem/router and waiting a minute, then plug it back in.
Also, Win10 and Win 11 have a network reset option in settings they could try.
The Win11 location for hosts file is C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
Open with a text editor and it should only contain
Code:# Copyright (c) 1993-2009 Microsoft Corp. # # This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows. # # This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each # entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should # be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name. # The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one # space. # # Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual # lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol. # # For example: # # 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server # 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host # localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself. # 127.0.0.1 localhost # ::1 localhost
If after resetting win11 network, unplugging and waiting a minute then plugging modem/router back in and checking hosts file doesn't work, then it's something else still causing an issue.
I only ever use Windows11 default antivirus along with MalwareBytes that all that's needed to find any malware/virus.
Other antivirus or malware programs all cause additional issues.
They may even need to uninstall SF and have it also remove settings by checking the option during uninstall and then install it from the offline installer.
Hope they get it fixed. What a waste of time, streamfab so-called support.
