Before I dig more deeply and spend time looking for a workaround, I'm wondering if this is a known issue with the Viki downloader. Downloading shows with episodes is working well, but when I try to download a movie the analyzer does not give any options for resolutions or subtitles like it does for the shows. The download of the movie does work if I let it run, but you end up with a basic 720p video with no subtitles.

I don't use it and HD is only with VikiPass ..
Looks like not all titles have 1080p:
HD quality (at least 720p) - see here
So is the title in regular browser offered in 1080p ? If not SF can't dl 1080p
If subtitles not offered try it with yt-dlp - example:
Code:yt-dlp --allow-u --write-subs --skip-download --sub-langs en "https://www.viki.com/videos/1251332v"

Ok i tested "Ocean Rescue" and no subs offered by SF
(in contrast to the series "DNA Lover")
and i become 1280x536 without Viki Pass
But subs are avaiable:
