Netflix Netflix downloading : the game of cat and mouse

Hello. The cat and mouse game that Streamfab and Netflix are playing makes downloads very random. As soon as Netflix updates its DRM, Streamfab is down until the next update (which can take several days or weeks). Then it works again, until the next Netflix update. The last example lasted only 24 hours, with Streamfab version 6.2.0.2 already down ...
For such an expensive product (which, by the way, works very well apart from the DRM issues), this instability is just unbearable !

Streamfab 6.2.0.2 was released on Friday or Saturday morning (France time) : yesterday, I downloaded many movies with this version and, this morning, it doesn't work anymore. Before this version, 6.2.0.1 was down for many days. Sorry about my poor english ...
I already had the same issue on July 2024.

My last NF download was less than 2 hours ago.

If you use the release from sticky - try the 6202 beta => here
FHD for releases before the last 3 days and SD for newer releases

It works with the beta version ! Thanks a lot, but I'm wondering how you can have access to this kind of information ...
I guess this version will be officially provided as 6.2.0.3, soon or later.

It still doesn't work right with the beta. Yes, it's 1080p, but it is slow and fails. The actual release is just flawed by 540p (low res)

I can't confirm - no fails for me (but the analysis often needs a second try)

Even though I usually use 720p (if the bitrate is not too low)

Looks like "Elizbeth" is not a NF title - do you mean the serie:
The Empress or The Crown or what? - correct name and/or the number needed

It seems that some older titles have been re-encoded.

If you see in "Downloading" the doubled size as in Selection ..
.. it need DRM 2830 and will never (successfully) finished.
Then it works only in SD

Is for an older show so is definitely older than 3 days.
It only did 540p. FAIL.

1080p works without issues with the beta, except for newer releases.
So, I also can’t confirm that things are being downloaded in lower quality.
I just tried it a few minutes ago.

Last year, Amazon also started to convert their entire catalog to a new DRM. The advantage with old titles was that we had a few more days...

I see you had replied to Wilson that you were still seeing issues with the Beta. Was that a one off?



Just installed the beta that you suggested. I am getting the Chrome error stating I need to make sure I can view protected content. When I click the Carat to a show it does not analyze like it used to. When I click the episode it gives that playback drm error. When I click analyze it goes forever.

When I try to copy the url of the episode, I get the usual clipboard monitoring, but analyze does not work.

.. but not official released, because:

Sorry to say, there is a new problem when downloading the new released videos today, and we have to rolll back it to 540p in the released version 6202.

And here is a test version, the old released videos can download as 1080p again.;

It only affected titles from after DRM change by NF - see #9

I currently not know what is your problem with the beta ..
edit: In your log i see only:

[Warning]: "[Netflix]" nfid emtpy

So try to rename cache if SF closed - like here
relogin to NF and retry
