StreamFab for Windows Repeated Download Failures for Chicago Series on Peacock (StreamFab Version 6.2.0.7)

I'm experiencing issues with StreamFab (version 6.2.0.7 as of November 30, 2024) while attempting to download certain episodes of Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., and Chicago Med from Peacock.

The issue I'm facing is that after the download seemingly completes (reaching 100% progress), it then fails immediately afterward. As shown in the attached screenshot, it clearly shows the progress at "100% complete" before changing to indicate that the download "Failed." I've tried downloading "Chicago P.D." Season 10, Episode 16 multiple times (at least 5 attempts), but each time it ends with this failure.

Here’s what I’ve done so far to try to resolve this:
    • Restarted my computer between download attempts.
    • Logged out and back into StreamFab.
    • Logged out of my Peacock account and logged back in.
Despite these steps, I still encounter the same issue. Some episodes do download successfully, but others, including the specific one mentioned above, keep failing.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

I've no Peacock account (currently no US payment method) ..
.. but there may be clues to the cause in your StreamFab.log

Can you rename your StreamFab.log (if SF closed)
try once and post (attach) your new StreamFab.log

Perhaps someone will be found in the meantime who could give it a try.

Sometimes, however, the problems were also due to the Peacock CDN ..
.. so you can try a different region with a vpn

Ok, since Germania can't try peacock, and I am lucky enough to get it through Xfinity, I tried Chicago P.D. S10E16.

It went fine with NO issues. So #1, I would try whatever Germania might suggest. #2, I noted in the past via Cats4U posting about Peacock that if I remember right it's suggested to have the download queue empty and do Peacock separately. Or I think if you do have things in the queue, at the very least, do Peacock first, as at times otherwise, it would cause issues.
I very rarely download from multiple providers in one go. I queue up Amazon let them go, then if I need Netflix, queue them up let them go, and so forth.
In all reality, you should be able to cue 2,3, or even way more providers all at once, but it's worth a try with Peacock to do it separately as I said I tried episodes 16 and then picked episode 10 just randomly to see, both worked with no issue.

Unfortunately, the last word from Cats4U is they are recovering and most likely not on the forum much, or I am sure would chime in their thoughts on Peacock.

Maybe if I get a chance I will queue up a few Amazon, Netflix, and the same Peacock shows all at once to see if there is an issue.
What a waste of time, streamfab's so-called support.
As far as logs, send them via SF itself, send feedback, or via (https://www.dvdfab.cn/member.htm?a=get_support). Sending feedback via SF is also viewable on the member site.

Ok, I did queue up several Amazon movies/shows, then Netflix movies, then Peacock Chicago P.D. episodes 13 to 18, and still no issue.

One last thing, I have been 100% successful using file format MKV (FFmpeg) in SF settings as sometimes MKV (MKVToolNix) can cause issues, but I really have not noticed much of an issue with the MP4 setting.
I also save them to an external USB 3.0 Hard Drive. But an internal HD should be fine, especially if an external one works so well.
Might even want to check the drive saved to and if any file exists that might be causing a conflict. Sometimes if SF fails, it leaves a leftover file named the name of the show and then won't overwrite, if tried again.

Even though it did work, it still might help if you at least try to do the Peacock separately, and then if issues continue, for sure include a log for Germania as stated in post # 2.

A screenshot doesn't give us any information. We need your StreamFab.log. As Germania stated,
Can you rename your StreamFab.log (if SF closed)
try once and post (attach) your new StreamFab.log
Now the questions --- How did you install 6.2.0.7? Online (pop-up) installer or only offline installer found at the top of the "Sticky" section at the top of this forum? You should only install using the offline method. Ideally, you should only do a clean install as documented here -- https://forum.dvdfab.cn/forum/stream...eamfab-windows

Where are you located? The US? Your timezone is showing as GMT, which is Europe & Africa.
          Are you using a VPN?

As you can see, I didn't have a speck of trouble with the three Chicago's including your troublesome Chicago PD S10E16.

clear all the other providers you have open and just try peacock by itself, see if you sill have issues downloading the episodes.
