Roku 6.2.1.2 for Windows (U.S.) not remuxing audio on some premium add-on downloads

I've been downloading videos from Roku premium add-ons (AMC+, Showtime, MGM+, and Paramount+) for the last month or so. With the recent updates to 6.2.1.1 and 6.2.1.2, some (but not all) downloads are missing their audio. The audio files are sitting in the outputTemp > Roku folder (below). I can play each one, but I have no idea which audio goes with which video. That temp folder currently lists 70 such audio files.

Note: Prior to installing 6.2.1.2, I completely uninstalled StreamFab6.2.1.1 and deleted the Cache and every folder that included anything StreamFab related. I'm running Windows 11.

In addition, my Streamfab log (attached) starts with the setup info, but then is followed only by dozens of repetitions of this line:

    2025:01:03-13:00:11 0x00006bd4 [Info]: TaskQueueWidget::updateItemStatus pNode nullptr

Note that this doesn't happen with all my recent Roku downloads, nor does it affect Hulu or Max downloads--as far as I can tell. So far, I can see this with Reno 911! (Season 8, every episode) and The Good Wife (Season 5, episodes 2, 6, 10), and random episodes of Jericho Season 1. I'll likely open a support ticket, but I wanted to check to see if anyone else is having this issue with downloads from the Roku Premium add-ons.

Also, I just tried downloading Season 8, episode 1 of Reno 911! again with the same result -- no sound. (When downloading entire TV series to watch later, I generally don't test each file. I'm going to have to check at least 500 to cover the downloads I did with the last two versions of StreamFab. I should probably check videos downloaded with 6.2.1.0, too, because I have no idea how long this problem has existed.

    I can't test without Roku premium add-ons

    just thinking out loud:

It should be possible to sort by date or not?

Germania Excellent idea! Assuming these are the audios that weren't remuxed, I can match them to the date/time of the video files to figure out which ones failed. Beats testing every episode of everything I've downloaded from Roku in the last 30 days. Thanks!

Germania Major oops. I had to restart StreamFab in order to reset my Roku daily limit counter. and it had the unfortunate side effect of deleting all of yesterday's Temp audio files. So I'm back to manually playing each video for a few seconds to see if it has audio. Luckily, my Plex server makes that relatively easy. I've also submitted a ticket to Support to see if it's a problem they can fix or if it's something specific to my computer.

Update: So far, the missing audio only affects certain TV shows downloaded on 12/28/2024 or more recently.

Although Support closed this ticket, I've asked for it to be reopened because the issue persists, I've redownloaded some TV episodes that had no audio and nothing has changed. I did find one time-consuming workaround, though, which perplexes me. Instead of adding a TV series or movie to the queue by selecting it directly in the StreamFab interface, if I copy the URL of one of the episodes in my browser and then tell StreamFab to download it, it does have audio!

If any of you have StreamFab for Roku and also purchased some of their add-on channels, such as AMC+, MGM+, or Paramount+ (one of which comes with Showtime), all of the following episodes download without audio:
            1. Reno 911!: all episodes in Seasons 7 and 8
            2. The Good Wife: Season 4, episode 15; Season 5, episodes 2, 6, and 10
            3. Jericho: the entire series
            4. Yellowjackets: entire Season 2
My last attempt is going to be to install 6.2.1.0 (which didn't have this issue) and see if the problem disappears. I'm not hopeful, but I don't want to have to test every additional download to see if it contains audio. I've already wasted days downloading dozens of video failures. Hopefully this gets fixed soon (or it's discovered that the issue is specific to my computer) because my 2-month cheapo add-on subscriptions expire in 2-3 weeks.

6.2.1.0 has the issue, too. Oh well...

Based solely on my experience, the Roku Channel premium add-ons missing audio from some TV episodes affects StreamFab for Windows (U.S.) versions 6.2.0.7 through 6.2.1.3. The developers are working to correct the problem. Note that I'm not a DVDFab employee nor do I know if others are experiencing this issue. If you have the Roku Channel and downloaded TV episodes from any of its add-ons, such as MGM+, AMC+, Paramount+, or Showtime, you should probably do a spot check to ensure that all episodes have audio.

Because I subscribed to these Roku add-ons during their Black Friday sale, my TV episode downloads from them only exhibited the problem since Thanksgiving. I don't know that the problem started at Thanksgiving or also could have been around before then. TV downloads from basic Roku and movie downloads from the add-ons appear to be unaffected. It's only if you downloaded from any of the Roku add-ons within your Roku StreamFab subscriptionthat you might want to check. The affected episodes I've found so far include the following when added to the Roku queue as batch downloads of entire seasons:
                1. Reno 911!: entire Seasons 7 and 8
                2. The Good Wife: Season 4, episode 15; Season 5, episodes 2, 6, and 10
                3. Jericho: entire series
                4. Yellowjackets: Season 2
                5. Halo: Season 1, episodes 2-6
                6. Star Trek - Voyager: Season 5, episodes 14-25; entire Seasons 6 and 7
                7. Star Trek - The Next Generation: most episodes in Season 1; all episodes in Seasons 2-7
                8. Star Trek: entire series
                9. Star Trek - Enterprise: several episodes of Season 1; all of Seasons 2-4
                10. Star Trek - Pickard: all of Season 3
                11. Lioness: Season 2
                12. From: Seasons 2 and 3
                13. Joe Pickett: Season 2, episode 1
Trying to download these episodes again doesn't fix the issue. The only workaround I've found is to open a browser to the Roku Channel, sign in, start to play an affected episode, copy (Ctrl-C) its URL in the address bar, and then respond to StreamFab's dialog boxes (below) as follows: (1) Download, followed by (2) Add to Queue or Download Now.

wilson Let me know if you want a later copy after I've tried to download some of the problem episodes.

FYI: I've just started downloading Star Trek (the original TV series). Season 1 episodes 2 (Man Trap) and 3 still download without audio but play fine when opened directly in the Roku Channel in an Edge browser window. I'll try rebooting to see if it makes a difference.

After rebooting, I tried downloading Reno 911, Season 8 episode 1, and it still downloads without audio. So far, it doesn't seem that anything has changed concerning the "no audio" issue.
