    Paramount+ (SF 6212) Issues with Subtitle (SRT) Files

    If this has been previously reported, my apologies for the oversight as I did not see anything similar when searching through posts.

    Been having an issue with Paramount+ subtitles in that the files are missing text in some lines. I first noticed this on certain titles downloaded with SF6200 (end of September 2024). When opening the SRT files for review I noticed not only were lines missing, but some lines of text were being duplicated.

    I don't know if this is happening to "all" titles downloaded on Paramount+, but I can confirm it has happened (to me, anyway) on at least five different titles: IF, Dear Santa, Apartment 7A, Smile 2, and Transformers One.

    Since 6212 was released I downloaded one of those titles again, and saw it was still happening.

    Logfiles and example SRT file attached.

    I used the mpd url from your log and dl the subs manually (without SF) ..
    .. and the result for Apartment 7A (2024)_eng has the same 1284 entries.

    The en-us subtitles is Closed captions with have same doubled text
    and the entries without text are non-speech sounds.
    This entries in [] are removed by SF.

    The original sub offered by P+ started with:
    Code:
    1
    00:00:32,932 --> 00:00:35,301
    [person humming]

    2
    00:00:38,071 --> 00:00:40,006
    Tackle box, tailbone,
    tiny toy car.

    3
    00:00:40,073 --> 00:00:42,008
    Tackle box, tailbone,
    tiny toy car.

    4
    00:00:42,075 --> 00:00:45,745
    Tackle box, tailbone,
    tiny toy car.

    5
    00:00:45,812 --> 00:00:48,448
    Tackle box, tailbone,
    tiny toy car. Ah.

    6
    00:00:48,515 --> 00:00:50,917
    Tackle box, tailbone,
    tiny toy car.

    7
    00:00:50,984 --> 00:00:52,685
    [humming]

    8
    00:00:52,752 --> 00:00:54,220
    [gasps]

    9
    00:01:00,093 --> 00:01:01,327
    Ah.

    10
    00:01:03,696 --> 00:01:05,165
    [tone rings]

      I do not have an answer for you but just figured I'd let you know it's not just Paramount. I'm getting duplicate lines from Max as well with some of the lines being just different enough in punctuation that using Subtitle Edit to remove the duplicate lines doesn't work.
