NOW Doubts and maybe bugs in NOWTv Downloader

    Hi guys!
can someone at DVDFab.cn tell me why the NOW Downloader, despite of its own 720p resolution limit (not an important issue), offers as "language" options, for example, "italian" and "oryia" (what is that?) when obviously a tv show or maybe a movie is in english and italian?
And why it can download only one language, not "multiple", and all the subitiles are *always* out of sync?
    I suppose it's a "buggy" download module?

There's one thing that SF can be relied on and that's if you update you'll usually be worse off than before. I've not downloaded from Now for a while but of course I did the update before trying and now it doesn't work at all and stays on analysing.

Edit - and another thing that doesn't change is that as soon as I post about a problem I go back and try for the fourth time and this time it works.

I'm staying on SF 6220 because of the last bugs on otherr channels.
I think they have "stopped" the development for the NOWTv Downloader....probably because they did not received feedback...

I just opened a ticket, let's see how about....

Hi. I opened a topic here a while ago about these problems with NOW, especially about the big problems with subtitles. I also contacted support, but got no response (except something like “we're working on it”... yeah, sure). I found this attitude really unfair because the NOW module was purchased separately, and was not included in the first purchase of SF. Never mind. I'm still using SF version 6217 because with each update I never see update on the problems I have (with NOW, Pluto, Mediaset Infinity), so I don't update. Anyway, about subtitles, I found a way to get them properly (I'm talking about TV series though). Basically, if you download one episode at a time, the subs are correct. You have to open SF, and start downloading an episode from NOW, and when it finishes, you SHUT SF. Then you start it again and do the same things (download an episode, shut SF, start it again, etc. etc.) I can get the subtitles working that way. (I also wrote this to support but they were not very interested, I think).

          Thanks for sharing your experience!
the “1 episode a time” technique it’s a little bit tricky and, imho, it’s a weird thing… if you think about other modules like Netflix or Amazon prime video… it’s kinda weird and long to stay at the computer to download also the subs for each episodes… I think that also you like the idea of the batch downloaded itself…
how do you download from Mediaset Infinty, with streamfab? I’m curious.

Oh well, i do know it's tricky and really exhausting. And if you want to download a tv series composed of 263 episodes like "Murder She Wrote" (what I am trying to do), it's really really hard... Whatever...
About Mediaset Infinity, yes, i use SF for downloading stuff. Unfortunately now the best quality you can have is 1280x720. I tried to have some support from SF about the fact that everything added on Mediaset Infinity before january 2024 is actually available at 1920x1080, but after one year they do not care about it at all... (P.S. If you use Tampermonkey extension on Chrome, you can download Mediaset's stuff released before January 24 at 1920x1080... well, donno if everything they have, but most things... on SF even those things now are at 1280x720... )

For people's knowledge, i found a sort of "workaround for multiple languages: Simply:
Do the first download of your movie or tv show in your language, then copy away this "first pack"
Do the second time but selecting "Oryia" , the other audio track (for me 1st was italian, 2nd should be english).
Then, (remaining in the "freeware universe", with a tool like MKCleaver, you can batchj extract the audio track you want (all episodes for example).
Then again, with MKV Muxing Batch GUI (both programs are GUIs for MKVToolnix tools), you can add the second audio to each episode (batch mode, again).
              Et voilą.
The only downside is that in a tv shows of 100 or more episodes, you have really to download TWICE....
              But that's it!

Answer to my complain about not solving one-year-issues with NOW.

                "Hello,
Now Only Amazon, Disney, Netflix, Skyshowtime and HBOMax can support to download multiple audios. Others will be supported in the future.
Are you using the latest version? If not, please update to the latest version first.

Please make sure you can playback the video in 1080p in the normal browser.
Please delete the two folders and then run StreamFab to try again and see the result.
                %HOMEPATH%/Documents/DVDFab/StreamFab/Temp
                %HOMEPATH%/Documents/DVDFab/StreamFab/log
If still have a problem, please specify links to the videos you have problem with, or tell me the video name."

Usual answer. "Install new version, delete folders, specify the link"... Blah, blah, blah...
They are not even aware of the fact that updating to last version of SF, we cant download anything from NOW...

                What a useful support...
