    I thought SF didn't use ThePlatform, but did decryption for CWTV?

      Where do you think the “magic m3u8 link” came from?

      I see ThePlatform and the mpd URL in log:

        But the MPDs that SF was downloading (like for Wild Cards) weren't going via ThePlatform though, were they?

          Good question - I tried a series without "Extras" (Alaska Daily)
          Code:
          [Info]: Source is  MPD
          [Info]: Parse mpd data success.
          But why should SF extract the Platform URL? (there is no mpd info)
          and save the url in queue info:

          Perhaps it was only used for subtitles (don't ask me why)

            Why is anyone even trying CWTV with that crappy limited download screen?
            And I have yet to figure out what's going on, as other versions are now the same and other provides are also having issues with the download screen.
            I can only say, as far as the download window, YouTube is ok, Amazon is ok, and sometimes Netflix.
            I don't really bother much with other providers other than sometimes Peacock. And Netflix will be gone soon from my list of providers.

            When they get back to work, hope they fix more stuff, than keep adding crap, because of yt-dlp updates make it possible.
            Things can't be fully accomplished without proper access.
            Things need to be done with active moderatoration.

            Disclaimer: Use of a VPN can NOT be fixed by StreamFab.

              Since buying StreamFab All-in-One recently, I've been checking free supported sites like The CW for old TV series I've missed. I saw they have the full Anger Management series, so I downloaded the episodes that I was missing. All but two (Season 1, episodes 5 and 10) downloaded correctly -- so it's not an "everything fails situation." Something odd is definitely happening with the downloads, though, because they zip right past 100%. Here's a screenshot from Episode 10:

              It stopped at around 200%, I think. When played on my Mac, only the audio plays. When trying to stream it to my TV from my Plex server, it simply fails and says "unknown CODEC" or something similar.

              In addition, The CW has major issues with creating .srt subtitle files (I already reported this as a Support ticket.) Instead of being 50-60K, each one is 50-60MB. If they're subtitle files, Plex doesn't recognize them as such.

                  Good question. I was about to try again, but CW downloads don't offer an option to skip subtitles. In fact, the CW Downloader dialog doesn't offer any options other than selecting the episodes you want. StreamFab Settings doesn't provide a way to ignore subtitles either. All you can do is choose a format for them. I should note that for all other episodes of this and other series I've downloaded from CW (Van Helsing, The Outpost) the same oversized .srt files were created, but they didn't affect playback. I just threw them away because they wasted disk space.

                  I just tried playing the .srt file for episode 10 using VLC Media Player. It appears that it's the audio from the episode and plays fine. When trying to play the download itself, the player says that it's a blank (" ") CODEC. Both episodes and subtitles play fine when streamed to a browser.

                    I get always the subs - with 6235 is no option
                    and older releases dl srt without selection - first noticed here

                    @zapt
                    The segment dl counter is also wrong for me ..
                    .. it changed (for s01e10) from 720p to 540p after ~50%
                    and after 100% all is new downloaded - then I've get 434 segments:

                    and the result (720p) is garbage

                    in log 15 MB !
                    Code:
                    [CefMedia]  Non-monotonous DTS in output stream 0:1;

                      Manually dl is fine - so the problem is not at cw

                      The problem for SF is:
