I tried a new Hulu account with Disney+ bundle ad supported. I had the same H265 and 4K issues. I'm curious if there is a similar solution like the one for MAX.

The fix talked about for MAX is only working because MAX seems to still be offering 4K on that content.

When I originally had the issue of being not served h265, lacking 4K and the wonkyness of not even seeing 1080p in some cases, there were a few posts indicating that the metadata was still there, it's just that SF wasn't seeing it. Hopefully that's still the issue. Hulu's h265 is very good, would be a shame to lose it.
Comparing Hulu to D+, there are some similarities. In general on D+ if you choose content that is offered in 4K on a set-top box, you will get h265 option on SF. The same holds true on Hulu. It's probably the lowest level of h265 (instead of 10 different bitrates).

If titles are missing H265, it could be 404 error, like chris01 say’s and/or streamfab hanging on the 404 and/or hanging trying to find the H264 stream or like streamfab does on Netflix if you choose AV1 and AV1 is not found streamfab hangs till it finds the H264 stream to download.
All one can do is wait and see if it gets fixed in streamfab, to adjust for this.
Last time I tried, I did find some H265 on Hulu, and on streams that did not have H265, streamfab just stuck on analyzing, never even finding the H264.
One thing sadly is to default to H264 and in the download window switch to H265, if streamfab hangs, then try to cancel or exit and just get the H264 stream.
The providers are insistent to keep making changes. For Hulu, going away from H265 does not make much sense. Some other providers are going away from H264, going to either H265 or AV1. Like Netflix seems to be doing, going more towards AV1.Things can't be fully accomplished without proper access.

Like I had posted on the first post, sometimes the hanging comes out of it, but says the show is not available in HD. Ain't that some shizit?

The dev is working on the problem, seems like the problem is also happened with Hulu Basic plan, not Disney&Hulu Bundle plan only.

Nope, the 4K bitrates get registered as 1080p by SF, and when you select those, SF just downloads 1080p... the whole thing's messed up... pretty badly

Just gonna through my 2 cents in:
On April 12th or 13th I was able to download The Handmaids Tail as H265 in 4K. On the following weekend (19th or 20th) I was only offered the same program in 1080 as H265. They do actually download as H265. The bit of the downloaded file does not match that of what was selected. Download had 3Kbps and the Selected was at 10Kbps.
I have the Legacy Disney+Hulu+ESPN bundle through Verizon.

I'm having issues with some titles, but not all. I just downloaded Nine Perfect Strangers, all came in as 1080 h265. The filesizes averaged about 3.5gb - 5gb.
My Wife and Kids only downloaded the first episode in h265. The rest came in at h264. I have had this whole series in h265 a couple years ago from hulu.
There are other series that I've had in h265 that no longer register as such, but only as h264. I might try going back quite a few versions just to see what happens. The same happens on all of my computers.
