StreamFab General Query Can't login with TV provider on TNTDRAMA.COM

I am trying to download content from tntdrama.com and am having trouble. I was able to download the first episode of The Librarians: The Next Chapter as it was available to everyone. However, to access the additional episodes, you have to log in with a TV provider.

Using Chrome on the same computer, I can do so, no problem, and access the content. However, when I click the "Sign In with your provider" link within SF, it opens a new tab that is just About: Blank and a second tab that is the login to the provider. The provider logs me in, but the about blank tab never goes away and the TNTDRMA.COM website is still sitting there waiting to hear back about the login from the provider.

Here is the exact URL of the page: https://www.tntdrama.com/shows/the-librarians-the-next-chapter/watch-now

Any chance the team can fix the problem with the different windows/tabs not talking to each other so that I can log in with my TV provider?

    Thank you in advance.

“Log in with your provider” does not work with most websites ..
.. at least never with all providers

    see also example here

If I were you, I would try to log in in the normal browser,
and if that works, export the cookies: info
and import them into SF: info

After that you will need to restart SF
and with a bit of luck you will be logged in

btw: I can't try this because I don't have a TV service provider

The transferring of cookies may or may not work, once streamfab updates yt-dlp, as stated below, as it's a yt-dlp issue as stated here >here.

This has been fixed now in the latest 5.22 version of yt-dlp. Streamfab will need to catch up with their login to adobepass websites and update their version of yt-dlp. The latest stable version of yt-dlp supports adobepass now, again.
Hopefully, everything will work out soon. But if you want, get yt-dlp and also hope the content is not DRM, but it does work on TBS.

SPECIAL NOTE: There still may be an issue, even if/when streamfab updates their version of yt-dlp, as streamfab has trouble logging into most sites with adobepass.

Added note #2: I can not confirm if you can even log into TNT sites due to illness, although I was able to finesse SF to log into TBS, and SF just says the website is not supported, or no videos were found. This >Here will link directly to my testing there.

Thanks. I know that it can download from TNT as I was able to download the first episode of the series that didn't require you to link a TV provider.

SF can log in to the WatchFoodNetwork website with Xfinity, so I was hoping it would be just as easy for TNT.

I will try the suggestions above transferring the cookies, as I am able to log into the website in Chrome on the same computer with no issue.

OK, so I was finally able to log in to the TNT website in SF by opening an external window (Shift-Click) and signing in to Xfinity then reloading the page with the video in the main browser.

Unfortunately, SF couldn't find anything to download. I guess the "free" video of episode 1 was in a different format, as I confirmed I could still download that one, but not any of the other episodes.

          Thanks for the help.

You are correct. The latest yt-dlp is very heavy on AdobePass fixes. This is from the latest yt-dlp nightly (5/28) -

The Turner fix should handle the TNT problem.
The only visible differences between yt-dlp and SF's YouTubeToMP3Process are two commandline options (or so it appears). They are...

              --dvdfab-ignore-errors
Continue on download errors, for example to skip when thumbnail embedding fail

              --dvdfab-cache-dir DIR
              dvdfabcache-dir

If that's all there is (and I'm not saying it is), couldn't they just make up a separate program to handle those two options and let yt-dlp be yt-dlp, rather than turned it into YouTubeToMP3Process? If they don't want to update yt-dlp every week, we, the user, could swap it out ourselves with the latest stable or the latest nightly. This AdobePass problem has been going on for years, and it seems the answer has finally come, but we are locked out of it because we have to wait for SF to find the time to put their name on yt-dlp's program.

Of course, they used the 5/22 release of yt-dlp (YouTubeToMP3Process) for 6.2.3.9, rather than the nightly. Looks like the AdobePass problem won't be addressed for another week, at the earliest.

I don't know, my test >here was with 5.22 of yt-dlp. Now, yes, the nightlys they have done more, but TBS worked with 5.22 of yt-dlp.
But the bigger issue is SF would need to work on their program logging into many sites that use adobe pass, as many won't even let you log in with SF.

ADDED: Ok, never mind now 5.22 won't work now, so I will have to either wait or try to find a nightly...

                  There was a great in-depth discussion >here.

Since I was able to finesse SF to log into TBS before, I may try again if the latest SF has 5.22.

                    YoutubeToMP3Process in SF 6239 has version 2025.05.22
I had to correct myself 5.22 of yt-dlp no longer works on TBS, so it's either I wait or GOTO the nightly.
Love to know how I got it to work in post #3.

Ok, I can't go into full details, but I temp updated YouTubeToMP3Process to yt-dlp nightly, and SF works this far, see SS below. I then stopped as SF doesn't like I changed YouTubeToMP3Process.

So once streamfab does get their YoutubeToMP3Process updated right and fixes the adobe pass login issue, as I still had to finesse SF to log into TBS, SF should work on TBS, most likely the whole of TBS and TNT sites.

So we are close now ...

Do NOT try this at home, lol.

Replacing YouTubeToMP3Process back to yt-dlp has never worked. As I've written, SF has added two additional command line options (and perhaps other things) to the yt-dlp source code, compiled it, renamed it YouTubeToMP3Process, and claimed it as their own. I've never really looked into its companion program, YouTubeToMP3Service, but odds are that they did a similar thing to it.
In theory, the latest nightly yt-dlp should fix the AdobePass problems with all the Turner channels (TBS, TNT, TCM, and TruTV) and NBC channels (Bravo, Oxygen, CNBC, MSNBC, NBC, Syfy, Telemundo, Universo, and USA). It also adds Fubo to its MSO list.
TCM and Telemundo, I believe, are the two oldest channels that SF had AdobePass problems with. If my message search function was working, I would have posted a link to the messages about them. It's got to be two or three years now.

Well, you can see the screenshot. I was able to use SF long enough, replacing YouTubeToMP3Process to get that far. SF crashed about 5 times, so I stopped.

You still have to jump through hoops to get SF to log in because of the way many sites set up adobe pass to log in.

If not done right, then you get what's posted >here.

Also, before, the best I got was this >here.

But yes, again, it's getting closer, and if/when SF fully fixes the login and YouTubeToMP3Process and possibly YouTubeToMP3Service, it should work on most trouble sites as TBS and TNT, and similar.
