Channel 4 Channel 4 Not Working

Channel 4 is not working. The website login fails because of "missing Java" or incompatible browser. Without logging in, streams fail.

I never needed Java to log in to Channel 4 ..
.. not installed on my PC - and login in regular Chrome works fine.

Perhaps you mean JavaScript ? (or you have a problem with captcha)

OK, I need two attemps for fresh login - but without any trick:

I found today that C4 downloads stall at the download stage if you're not logged in and subscribed to the ad free version.
I rarely use C4 so I've taken a 7 day trial and been able to download what I wanted. Without logging in it said to use a different browser and on the Chrome browser it asks me to switch off ad blocker.

But I was able to download in 1080p

Whats the point in splitting my post into two parts so that you make the meaning change just so you can make yourself look clever? Not useful

Signing in is usual but needing to be ad free isn't which was my point although I'm sure you knew that.

instead of getting artificially upset about it four weeks later

But that doesn't change the fact that I didn't need ad-free
to download something, does it?

Artificially upset? Genuinely annoyed actually and you now realise why although an apology would have been simpler.

Had you just stated that you didn't need ad free , which is all you needed to say, there wouldn't have been a problem.

Please bear in mind that English is not my native language
and my active English vocabulary is not the best.

Sometimes I only realize afterwards (after the answer)
that a translator would have been necessary.

And since my support here is only incidental,

All moot now though as I can't even login to C4 via Streamfab so can't download anything

I can't offer more than to try it myself ..
.. SF 6248 with new Temp directory:

I get always "Something went wrong" in 1st attempt
(that also happened to me with older versions of SF)



But after clicking “Sign in” a second time without making any changes,
it always works for me (so far)

Yes that's what I was getting every time. Told SF about it and they said that old faithful would sort it. So deleting Log and Temp did indeed cure the problem
