Paramount+ Descriptive audio track on Dexter Resurrection S01E06 no matter which audio chosen

Is anyone able to download Dexter Resurrection with the correct English audio from Paramount? All I am getting is the descriptive audio and I find it unwatchable.
I have SF version 6.2.4.8 installed.

If there is a trick please share.
I have recently purged temp cache for another issue.

under the audio drop down menu, do you have English checked and English [audio description] unchecked ??

Yes, that was original setting. Tried that twice as a sanity check and then tried setting for descriptive once just in case Paramount had it mislabeled. All attempts had a narrator in the first few frames telling me about the logo.

First of all, I can confirm the problem for P+ (USA) ..
.. selection was Audio en - no AD .. but I get en AD

I suspected the trick was to prevent the downgrade to 540p by selecting 540p ..
.. but this don't work for me - then I tried to select both audios - but that fails
and if I select only en AD I get also the selected AD

Then I tried in Germany and I get the correct english Audio (without AD)
and surprise: 720p instead 540p downgrade



So the problem (wrong P+ label) is perhaps "only" in USA

Same Problem like in USA at P+ Canada (en AD + 540p downgrade)

I get Dexter Resurrection.s01e06 >540p and the correct english Audio
with P+ in Australia, Germany + UK (more countries not tested)

I assume you are using VPN to test other countries? Anything I need to know if I want to do that? P+ doesn't care if one account logs in from all over the world?

I think it's not possible with same account ..
.. if I remember correct for example P+ CA don't accept P+ US account data

So you can try a 7 day trial with different infos ..
.. I personally used for every country a different account + different temp directories

I appreciate that heads up -- I think I'll wait. I'm sure the geniuses at SF will sort it out.
Juggling trial accounts to get 1 ep is too much work.

Well, updated to 6.2.4.9 and tried downloading Star Trek Strange New Worlds and it is also giving me Descriptive Audio... So I guess they are still hopefully working on it....

FYI...I got the same thing as post #9 Feenix with the same show using version 6.2.5.0, only now the only Audio choice listed is "English" but it still is the Audio Description that is downloaded.

Same Issue with DA audio in Paramount+ for show Fire Country, Season 3 episodes 5,9,10 so far. There is only one option for English Audio. I did log into my P+ account from my chrome browser and when watching that way, the browser does have 2 audio, english and English DA, that is on the chrome browser. It Appears the SF is grabbing the DA audio as the only option

I am oddly relieved it wasn't just me with Dexter: Resurrection episode 6. I checked ahead and episode 7 is okay. It is just episode 6. I thought I had accidently left forced narrative checked but I didn't even have that option for paramount. Odd. I haven't started to watch Star Trek New Worlds yet so I will hold off adding more episodes if they are affected as well.

Strangely I had no problem with ST:SNW S03E06, but my download of S03E02 had only the Audio Description.

But at least as of 6.2.5.1 I’m able to select both English and English AD, and I get both. I don’t need AD, but that’s a fine workaround for now.

I don't know if it was the latest update but I retried to download Episode 6 and I double checked and now I definitely had 2 options at audio and I made sure audio descriptive was unchecked. It worked as it is gone when I tried to watch the first 10 minutes of the episode

I wish I knew what the best audio option is supposed to be for ST:SNW on Paramount+. The downloads I got today and last week are only 2.0, but that may be the best Paramount offers.
