4K Downloads possible in near Future?

But since I can get English Atmos with SF and Standard plan ..
.. it could also be that SF doesn't offer it anyway.

The German audio track is EAC3 5.1 at 256 kbps with dynamic range compression for almost everything. So far, I've only encountered a German Atmos track in the german production "Sam - Ein Sachse". I have a Premium annual subscription that's about to end. Since the price has gone up again, I might switch.
By the way, the picture quality on Disney+ is already quite good at 720p, as they offer significantly higher data rates than Amazon or Netflix.

.. it's not a million-dollar deal, just a monthly subscription

Really?? Downloading 4K From Fandango at Home would be a game changer for me. I would mean that I could download my 4K digital purchases (including MoviesAnywhere eligible titles) in 4K

The current Chrome version is 141.0.7390.108 (Official Build)
and still includes WidevineCdm 4.10.2891.0

The WidevineCdm update to 4.10.2934.0 is performed with Chrome 142 (current beta)

So if P+ were to require this, no TV with a current
browser would be able to receive titles in FHD !

So that's impossible at the moment, and the 540p limitation is already 10 weeks old ..

that's not true. I was using a premium account and was able to download Avatar with a German Atmos layer. Now with ads I can't download it anymore. I had some more movies with the same issue. so there also German atmos layers in bigger US productions.

and the data rate is higher because most of the content is offered in h.264. most of the amazon content is h.265 and netflix offers nearly everything in av1. obviously h.264 is less efficient and needs more data.

Hi,

I got another good news today, Disney+ video also can be downloaded as 4K HDR10/Dolby Vision quality.

The developers are working on this, it will be released soon.


(Got the first 4K Dolby Vision test video just now, may can be released next week)
