slottedpig I do occasionally use appletv, but for the most part I use Amazon for their prime video. I just let all of my subs expire a couple days ago from about 8 of other channels except for HBO because I have no more hard drive space. I hammered them all at 100 per day with no issue.

I got one of those emails back on August 11. Haven't downloaded, or even watched much on Prime since then. Not sure what version I was using at the time, although I think it was probably 6.2.4.5 since it was working the best until I opened it one day and it said it was too old. Canadian user, if that helps.

I suspect that no new emails are being sent based on newer versions of the software i believe that older version triggered it and they are now just getting around to warning people.

I was wondering if Recordfab was safe to use with Amazon so I posted something in the Recordfab forum. I got an interesting reply from Yuki_Recordfab: "Thank you for your interest in RecordFab. The issue you mentioned regarding StreamFab's Amazon service has now been resolved.

As for RecordFab, it is safe to use as it employs a different technical solution to StreamFab."

So Yuki is saying the Amazon issue has been resolved. I have no idea if this is credible.

Hmm, looks like Amazon downloads will soon be coming to an end.

Would you not beleive the officail streamfab Youtube? (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNb9DQF5YIA)

Also that's about all that's posted in the reddit sub mentioned in the video (https://www.reddit.com/r/StreamFab_Support/)

Also not sure why above posted comment says 'Hmm, looks like Amazon downloads will soon be coming to an end.'
You will aways have your 100 downloads per day, if willing to risk accounts.

Amazon is the worst to risk as so many also buy products and use the prime service for delivery.
As well as you would lose any added providers you may subscribe to.

Like anyone can beleive what Yuki_Recordfab says??

I was notified about my main account in August, but that was because I used previous versions.

I created a new account using versions where the problem is supposedly fixed, and I have been downloading 100 videos a day for a month since then and have not received any messages, which could mean that the problem has been solved. However, as you are saying, the previous affected versions that Amazon has used may be involved in some way, i.e. Amazon has its eye on them.

Yes this is my theory....i too have made a burner account and i also dont even max out per day so it should be fine for my usage.

The extra 100 should be a given due to the overall charge for streamfab. Plus, the risk factor will only increase for those who go to 200.
So you get charged extra and at least double the chance to lose your Amazon account.
But if you use 200 you will be banned so what is the purpose of more downloads?

Would be nice to know when they got the warning and what version they were using when they did. Also, what they did after the warning and what version they did it with (or without) and what version they were using on the 8th.

Yeah this screenshot of an amazon email with zero context doesnt help get any closer to the algorithm they are using or if its an old version issue etc., for me the problem is solved just using a burner account and dealing with any minor issues that arise with doing so. Again cat and mouse game eventually this will correct itself somehow. Im confident in SF!

Yes, accounts are still getting banned / warned. Even when using the 'updated' version.
