    YouTube YouTube daily cap

    Youtube downloads seem to cap out at a certain amount then reset about 5 AM Pacific. Anyone notice this?

    Did not know there was a cap on regular YT downloads.
    So don't know when or how they reset.
    You may want to watch how much you do download from YT anyway, read > here.

    Now, the Movies & TV downloader does have a limit, but you can't download them in SF since 6256.

    If there is a cap, the cap should reset the same time for everything if it's SF capping the amount.
    Things can't be fully accomplished without proper access.
    Things need to be done with active moderatoration.

      No something been screwy with the youtube downloader for weeks now. What i have observed hasnt changed. This isnt new as of yesterday, i downloaded 10 videos last night but they were all older than 3 days: No mewer videos would go past analysis.
      1) Downloads reset at approx 5 AM PST and caps out at about 100. At 5 AM everything about 24-48 hours old suddenly downloads. Older videos can sometimes download after this but nothing new will.


      2)Older.videoa are atill able to be downloaded. It appears that new videos cant be downloaded until somewhere between 24-48 hours after posting

      3) cap is not tied to either streamfab account nor youtube account. Nor IP address.

        I am surprised you can get any YT video to download. YT made/making changes that breaks yt-dlp, which SF uses a modified version of. So until yt-dlp can be fixed, SF won't work either.
        yt-dlp IS aware, but not in the final stages yet of being fixed.
        Things can't be fully accomplished without proper access.
        Things need to be done with active moderatoration.

          I was able to dl with yt-dlp stable, but only from m3u8 (no https) ..
          .. so no SF dl is possible and only AVC (no vp9/av1)

          But now yt-dlp 2025.10.22 has been released and I am receiving av1 again​

            Great, that's good to see. For a while, the previous version of yt-dlp was only downloading h264.

              Yes you can still sporadically download videos but it is severely limited since yesterday and I cannot discern any pattern to it. I downloaded over a dozen newly posted vids on one laptop nd nothing on another
