    Amazon Amazon Downloader Not Working

    I purchased the Amazon downloader at the weekend to get a rental that I wanted to keep as I had used the trial 3 uses in the past and all had works great, so this time I went ahead and purchased.

    Although I could stream it in my browser fine, I just kept getting the analysis failed error and it bouncing back to the home page.

    I tried all the troubleshooting — logging in and out, closing the program down and relaunching it and even rebooted the computer too just in case and the error still persisted.

    As I had just purchased it I put in for a refund as per the refund policy it’s within the 14 days (this was within 24 hours of purchasing) and the technical issues are clearly not going to be solved any time soon as I can see now going through the forum this seems to be an ongoing issue.

    However, all I’m getting back from the agent Rain is “thank you for your patience our team is aware” — I feel like I’m basically being told to wait so then they can say it’s past the 14 days. I’ve insisted I want my refund and I’ll keep an eye on updates and if it’s resolved I’ll purchase in the future.

    Is there any way to get help with not getting the run around in the support tickets? I was helped out with an issue earlier this year by Mona who sorted it so quickly but Rain is just giving me the copy and paste response.

        It was the weekend that I tried and I know that post is below mine as I said I looked on the forums after buying it when it was glitching to see was there troubleshooting I could do.

        I just think it’s unreasonable to expect someone to pay for something broken when I’m well within the refund timeframe.

          You don't even report the problem in sufficient detail, how exactly do you expect anyone to help?

            I said what’s happening — it’s showing “analysis failed” and bouncing back to the home page. How is that not enough detail? That’s the error— it’s not giving a code and as I said it was playing in my browser fine.

            I also explained the steps I took to try and get it to work so I don’t see why you’re commenting that I’m not giving details when I have in my first post.

              Sounds like you're affected from the A/B test - see link in post #2

              If the developer (and I) don't have the new layout, there's nothing to test
              because SF works fine with "old" layout - dl finished 10 seconds ago.

              And I don't know how SF would react to two differently designed websites.

                  "Analysis fail" can happen for a multitude of reasons, but since as you patently CBA to read, I've highlighter the pertinent part for you:-

                    I understand that and thank you for being polite about your response. My main question for this thread was, has anyone who is having these issues successfully got a refund as it could be long over the 14 days before a solution is found and I don’t think it’s reasonable to expect people who can’t use the program to pay for it if they’ve just got it and request a refund within the time.

                    Also, it’s not that I CBA linking files, I don’t have access to them at the moment and wanted to make a thread asking for advise. There’s no need to be rude.

                        Streaming services make changes which break StreamFab. As long as its not a DRM change, the Fab developers usually do a good job of resolving the issue quickly once they have logs and the requested info (region, StreamFab version, steps to reproduce, etc) and time to look at it.

                        I can't comment on refund. I've never sought one from Fab.

                          I would hope that’s the case but in the support ticket she didn’t even ask me any info it was just a basic “thanks for your patience” reply which sucks. I’m more than happy to give all the info I just don’t have access to the logs at the moment.

                            Here's my log file and I am using the app in the UK but the video I am trying to get is on the US Amazon site, which I am able to access and play within the web browser and the StreamFab app.

                              I am now seeing a limit of 25 episodes.
                              The web site via a regular web browser is not showing the continue watching correctly (which should be an episode greater than 25). Dunno what the hell is going on.
                              On both SF and the regular browser I got a "That should not have happened" error. I suspect the account is switching to the other UI.
