Amazon Downloader Not Working

      Yes you have the new Layout, so you get a complete website instead a url

      The title analysis is fine with me:



      I've tried three different accounts now ..

      This cannot be forced by the developer, just as those

        Yup. Now even the home page isn't loading. I can go to the side pages fine, but they load very slowly.
        I actually was trying to preorder something --- site is wonky and not cooperating, went elsewhere (and found it at a significantly cheaper price), thanks AWS outage!

        Maybe serving up the 25 episode limit is a failsafe when AWS is having load issues (?)


        Downdetector shows AWS had issues around 8 hours ago too.

          So if there’s nothing the developer can do as it’s nothing they can control, should I pass this on in the support ticket then?

            Been downloading from Amazon all weekend, but now I can't get on their website even on normal browser. Guess they're updating.

            To the OP, someone over at reddit swore SF honors their return policy and he had never encountered any problems, but I had a hard time getting a refund as well. I once purchased their MPD downloader, but unfortunately it didn't work with the site I wanted to download from. And when I went to request a refund, Rain would just say the same thing over and over again " please try this, please do that, please give us the link to your video and our technician will look into it. We want to try to solve your problem before we issue a refund, don't worry, you have 14 days to get a refund--these last 2 sentences she said at least 3 times. And because of the time difference, each response would take a day. I thought about dispute the charge, but I was afraid they would terminate my other licenses. Finally two days before the 14 days was up I told her to switch the license to another module (one that I planned to get just not so soon) and ended the charade.

              .. but if not, there's nothing the dev can try to fix it until them.

              The problem is probably well known by now, but it can't hurt
              for SF to get an overview of the number of people affected.​

                I’ve only dealt with Mona before when I needed to refund a programme and purchase a different one, she was very understanding and just sorted it but Rain just sends the same thing over and over. Even though according to their own refund policy I should be entitled to get the refund. I wish you could get someone else to look at it

                  Okay, it looks like there is a major AWS outage worldwide, affecting not only Amazon but many other services as well. There's nothing we can do but wait this out.

                      I understand if it’s beyond their control it’s not their fault, I even said I’d keep an eye for updates and would purchase again when/if it can be fixed. I don’t think users who just bought it should be forced to keep a program they can’t use.

                      I was testing this on Saturday though and it wasn’t working then, which I believe was before this outage.

                        Site is back working again, but I cannot see anything beyond episode 25.
                        I'm sure that with the new API, that will be the bigger fish than the old API 25 episodes issue returning again.

                        Edit: 0xfeedbeef/Jpp72's easy mod gets around that issue.

                          For refunds, go to member center and select refund. There should be a few options to select refund.
                          My refund is grayed out as it's long past the 14 days

                          Or by submitting a ticket selecting refund or by the purchased product in members center.

                          I never tried any option, but one other one that was stated is to email them and be direct you want a refund.

                          Last option is going to your CC and dispute the charge on software purchased and not working.

                          As for Amazon move on .....​
                          Things can't be fully accomplished without proper access.
                          Things need to be done with active moderatoration.

                            Yes I’ve done those ways and Rain gave the “wait and see” responses but I might send an email in a few days if I’m not being listened to because I’m not being forced to keep a program that isn’t working.

                                One can be pretty sure the new API issue will be fixed.
                                Even if it's a new interface, wouldn't the logs help fix it for those that have it?
