only if one of the developers is able to reproduce the issue — and it seems random as to who can and can’t access it. I would consider making a new Amazon account but I have a feeling that new users probably get the new API.

I created a new Amazon/PrimeVideo account (30 day trial) in Europe (not Germany)

and I get the default (old) layout, that still works with SF

As a result, I now have 4 out of 4 accounts with the old layout.

Ergo: It is random, so it has nothing to do with the age of the accounts.

It’s baffling. Unfortunately the film I wanted is only available in the US Amazon

"It is random" means that it has nothing to do with the country either

one user in Germany affected - I'm not
one user in India affected - I'm not

Your log did not mention a film - it was the series that I tested in post #17

I see, sorry. I assumed when I said rental people would know it’s a movie as I don’t think you can rent series, you have to purchase the episodes or full seasons.

i tested it with a series too that was streaming free, The Summer I Turned Pretty and I got the same error so it’s not the film I was trying. It’s a paid one just, not free streaming, Queen of Manhattan. I only wanted it as an actor I’m a fan of has a role in it which I why I did the rental and not purchase. It’s past the time now though as that was Saturday and I can’t access it anymore since the 48 hours have passed.

The baffling part was the way it’s just at random that people are picked for the new API I know it’s just anyone, anywhere. I just don’t know if me making another Amazon US account would make a difference is all I meant. Because it’s not streaming on the Europe or UK sites.

You can get it for free with some US or CA Library Cards at Hoopla ..
.. but there it's only offered in 360p

but you can also rent for $5.99 at plex.tv or fandango.com

I’ll have to try and see can I get those working for sure — I already spent the 5.99 to rent it and I’ve never used Plex or Fandango so I don’t know which module I’d use to grab it in 1080p.

Hoopla I was looking into but I don’t have an account as it says you need a library card.

edit: Rain replied to my refund request and again just the copy and paste thanks for your feedback (it wasn’t feedback I was asking for a refund) and said that a fix is meant to be coming in an update this week. So fingers crossed it does.

It's not giving the 'failed to analyse' error anymore, but it's also just stuck on waiting to download/analysing. I'm testing with one of the free films you can watch without the prime subscription, using a VPN to access the US Amazon as the rental I had was finished and I don't really want to rent it again until this issue would be solved.

I can't attach my log as it's too large - is there a preferred site or a way to add it here without uploading as an attachment?

Update 2: I tried with an episode of something else, also using the same VPN but I changed to a different state for the US and free to view and downloaded. So it could have been an issue with that particular title or the VPN. It worked! Thank you so much to the developers and everyone who helped figure this out

Hi, I've had the same issue the past five days. Am in US using Amazon Prime without a VPN. I'm able to download again with the new test version but with mixed results. Some weird issues when adding more than one title to the queue and a mix of TV series and films. The wrong video downloads then--it turns out to be the most recent video added to the queue rather than the listed video. But if I focus on just one title (film or TV show), with nothing else in the queue, I can at least download and that's something. Thanks for this option in the meantime!
