Choppy, audio sync issues on HD .mvk files

To sum up the list of problems (I have hooked up to the vidon.me is HDMI cable, power, network cable, and sometimes USB hard drive powered by vidon.me).

1. vidon.me reboots on random .mkv files (maybe other formats but .mkv is my main 99% that I have, 720p and 1080p).

2. some .mkv files just play choppy.

3. when you do get a file to play(not many), vidon.me seems to like;
a. sometimes it gets choppy in fast paced scenes.
b. If you skip chapters or fast forward or back the video will get choppy. (you must then stop the playback then select it again).
c. If you fast forward, the bar that shows where in time the movie is at goes but when you hit play, the movie continues wherever vidon.me seems to want to continue playing.

4. Menu navigation is sluggish to respond to remote commands.

5. What is the SD card for??



Now What works

1. remote.

2. the android remote app.


Now I have a sony smp-n200 and that plays all these perfectly using the same hard drive (with the exception of a couple older .mkv files, all newer plays perfect on the sony)

How is this, did I miss something?

2. some .mkv files just play choppy or looks like your watching a very old poorly made video. All .vob files also so far play choppy.

3. when you do get a file to play(not many), vidon.me seems to;

3a. sometimes it gets choppy in fast paced scenes.

3b. If you skip chapters or fast forward or back the video will get choppy. (you must then stop the playback then select it again).

3c. If you fast forward, the bar that shows where in time the movie is at goes but when you hit play, the movie continues wherever vidon.me seems to want to continue playing.

3d. Audio is out of sync on some files and after you try to fast forward or reverse.

3e. If you try to select any audio (with the button just below the yellow key) vidon.me starts playing choppy video and no way to get it smooth again but stop playing and play it again from the beginning, so no way to play any other audio track.

As you say we've reported the issues, the powers that be are aware, additional staff hired to deal with the issues, nothing else to do but wait.

It has just been stated that this is a very quiet forum, so do we know the number of boxes sold and in circulation to give us an idea of the amount of interest in it. If a large number have been sold/given free does this mean that there are many happy users out there, because there certainly are not any on here.

i just got my replacement box the first one would not even turn on. i know the box does not work right , but i would like to know how to even get it to try and play a video. i tried from my wd my book live, i've tried from a usb flash drive. now i have used a lot of different computer hardware but i can not even figure out how to get it to recognize my wd playbook or a flash drive

Received my AV200 today, like others reported here are my issues.

some Mkv will crash XBMC, all my mkv's are pass through video and audio. DTS HD master and Dolby TrueHD

Blu-ray Iso's audio will drop out every 2-3 seconds for 5-6 seconds. My iso's are main movies not compression on video or audio.

Blu-ray iso's with PCM audio will crash XBMC

DVD iso's will crash XBMC

dvd mkv play fine

various hd videos play fine as long as the audio seems to be DD

Mkv blu ray with Dolby digital plus, it only passes PCM 2.0 and the audio is heavily distorted

Live in US, indiana, unit is wired connection, pulling from Qnap Nas SMB, HDMI connection to Reciever-->TV

I must testify that at least the AV100 isn't satifactory - whether how it is manufatured and how it functions.
Just checked a TV series ripped as MKV in XMBC. Video and sound are not played simultaneously. It seems to be played fast-forward. A frame-rate problem?
The Mede8ter does not have any problem. Besides that, the remote of the Vidon.me is horrible. I have tested some of these devices but yours is the worst, sorry.
No comfortable control from a couch distance possible. And the AV200 seems to have the same.
The Android remote app does not work, too. I am using a DLAN (Powerlan) without Wifi activated. My AV100 cannot be found. This alternative would make the control acceptable. Is the remote only for XMBC or also for general navigation and needs a Wifi network?
Sorry, but you haven't done your homework properly. Big noise together with DVDFab with the intention to push the AV200...I am really disappinted.
