General Feedback Request: User definable buffer?

User definable playback buffer size.

Rationale:
Large hard drives with fragmentation might occasionally be unable to keep up with the data rate needed.
A larger in memory buffer could keep the user from seeing changes in back end disk performance.

Would a setting for "high buffer" be of value to the DMS platform/ecosystem?

Good idea, but I have seen no evidence that it is necessary on mine and it is pretty fragged. Have you noticed this?
