I always see a lot of post about scrapping and not finding specific films or tv series.
I am still waiting so I can play all my movies with no issues, something that should be very basic for a movie server. So would it not be a good idea to concentrate on playback rather then scrapping. It's near impossible to be able to automatically scrap every file correct. It then always ends up with you messing around with file names and all sorts which a end user shouldn't have to do.

If that when first scrapping, every single file is put on the wall, even if it has not found any meta data at all. Just show it with a blank poster and the file name. Then work on the best way of manually editing them. Im sure if you had to edit files that are missing or incorrect ONCE then everyone would be happy.

At the moment when things are disappearing and going to either movies/t.v series or videos folders it is making it a horrible end user experience. Lets get the product to what it should be able to do which is playback. At the moment I cannot see how this can be sold to the public.

I personally can play 100% of my movies and around 99% of my tv series, What I can not get from poster wall. I can see through folder view. So I do not see this as a problem watching content.

      Hello suggestion,

I have maybe one of 100 films 1 where he does not find the right cover. And if so then I can easily change this today and to my absolute satisfaction and edit easily. With the DVDFab Ver. 11.0.5.3 you can set up all the metadata before reading the disc under "Film / TV search". And right on the MovieServer I can also easily correct it. And it always fits. But I also rarely use it because he finds everything I have little reason to work on. It did not work that well in the past. But today it is a breeze to correct this data.

Thanks to DVDFab, here's a big compliment to this place !!!

And as far as playing, he plays with me with the verse. 2.0.1.2 everything. Should be improved only if one of ISO `s of DVD, BD and BD 4K UHD plays, there is more jerk in the movie.

Otherwise I am here very happy with everything. Also do not think that it is a problem.

Do concur with above (ejm &Komet)...........have not had any problems ripping movies and not being able to watch them.....any of them!!!! Curious to know which movies that do not play for you/nnuudd on the movie server. I have read where there are issues with 4K/UHD playback. I have not tried putting any 4K/UHD content on the server yet, so this is something I can't confirm. But it sounds like this issue is a lot broader than that with you. You didn't say what issues you are having in playing movies or what version/release you are using that isn't working for you. That would help in getting answers to why.

Komet bought a valid point also about DVDfab 11.0.5.3. since you noted that correcting a movie once would be idea, that box is already checked. You can also edit the NFO file where the metadata is stored and once you do that and it's correct you do not ever have to worry about correcting that movie again.

... yes, and you can also edit the metadata in the Web Manager. This works really well!

I myself have no problems with the playback of the DMS. Also it plays 4K UHD as BDMV folder, ISO and also as m2ts. I myself play the films, so BD`s and BD4K UHD `s always in m2ts passport. in the DMS and that runs perfectly, as well as DVD's as MKV pass. What bothers me is, DVD and BD 4K UHD as ISO there are notes stuttering in the movie. As m2ts pass there are no stuttering.

On the DMS I have Vers. 2.0.1.2 and DVDFab since 11.0.5.3

          nnuudd spoke of:
          - Not finding specific movies

... I can not confirm, DVDFab11, DMS and Web Manager all my movies are displayed correctly. Maybe it's one of 100!

nnuudd said: I'm still waiting so I can play all my movies without any problems, which should be very easy for a movie server.

... I do not know what he has problems, but I have none, because the DMS plays everything what you play him.

nnuudd said: It always ends up with fiddling with filenames and all sorts of things an end user should not do.

... right, that should not have to be done by an end user. And you do not need that, this is not necessary here. Read movies in DVDFab, choose what you want and have on the DMS, done. And so there are not really any problems that are working and working really well.

nnuudd spoke of: even if she has found no metadata at all

... as I said and enumerated, there are so many ways to edit and correct the metadata. Even before you read the disc on DVDFab you can then determine the metadata if necessary korriegieren.

nnuudd spoke of: then work best to edit them manually.

          ... you can already !!!

nnuudd spoke of: Let's get the product to do what it should, namely playback.

...he can!!! Everything you give him. He plays everything with me. I have absolutely no problems with it. Whether DVD, BD, BD 4K UHD, MKV, MP4, etc ...

Of course you have to deal with such a media player very well and learn to understand the concept and the technology. That's what happened to me at the DMS. First I thought, what a box, today I say TOP! Will not have anything else! With me the Disk`s come in DVDfab11, over DVDFab11 to the MovieServer. If I turn on MovieServer then the films are, whether in MKV, m2ts, MP4, etc. there and are all played. Cover and film info are always correct!

Sorry, but I do not quite understand the problem.

Like my friends above, I have very few problems with the DMS. When you do experience a problem, let the DMS generate and submit a log and post the log number here in the forum, as explained here: https://forum.dvdfab.cn/forum/dvdfab...298#post370298

I could not let these posts go without having my say. I find scraping is a minor frustration compared to jerky DVD ISO playback, or the fact that I can't play from a poster wall ANY of the 16TB of media I have on attached USB drives.
