Firmware Question Firmware won't update

[UHD2019]

Cant update firmware, current is says "Version 2.1.1 (20180704113219), SDK 1.0.3.1. Tried both OTA (got a message saying "Failed to check update") and USB (message saying "No Upgrade Package"). I am sure it is connected to the network as it is getting an IP address and has hardwired ethernet to it. I have also tried the manual firmware flash located here https://www.dvdfab.cn/tips/flash-fir...vie-server.htm which didn't work.

Also the movie server can't be accessed across the network. I have tried the IP address in windows explorer and IP with /shared and nothing comes up.

Okay something is going on and I don't think you are doing anything wrong. It looks like the Version and SDK Versions are reversed. It should be Version 1.0.3.1 and SDK Version 2.1.1. Just checked mines and my updated version 2.0.1.2 is in reverse order also, it is saying I have version 3.0.9 and my SDK is 2.0.1.2. Pretty sure that's not right.

The latest version (v2.0.1.2) is an OTA.update. If your network connection is valid, it should update from there. The "no update package" message means that the DMS could not find the "update.zip" file on your USB drive. Make sure the update package is named update.zip and is in the root directory of a FAT32 formatted flash drive.

He has two post for the same...........replied to the other one. Something is wrong with the Version and SDK, they are showing up wrong.

I have consolidated the three threads. I replied to the other one, which is now this one. There is actually nothing wrong with the versions as shown, what we call 'firmware' in the forums is actually the SDK, i.e. v2.0.1.2, with a firmware of 3.0.9.
