I have some mp4 files that play the video but not the audio on the DMS. The audio plays in VLC Player. The audio codec is MPEG AAC Audio (mp4a) Stereo with sampling rate of 48000 Hz. Any ideas what might be wrong? Audio from ISO's plays fine.

Try turning off audio passthrough in DMS Settings.

I have a similar problem with video files that I upload to DMS. In my case the volume fades in and out. When that happens I use an external software to amplify then normalize the volume. That works for me but is a hassle. I have tried changing the audio DMS settings with no change.Comment

Same advice applies. Turn off Passthrough in DMS Settings->Audio. If that does not work, scan the file with the free MediaInfo tool and report the results.
